【摘要】：社會學(xué)芝加哥學(xué)派的誕生是二十世紀(jì)初以來幾十年間美國社會科學(xué)研究發(fā)展中的一件大事,這一學(xué)派大致經(jīng)歷了早期孕育、全盛時期以及衰敗時期等幾個重要發(fā)展階段。在早期孕育階段杜威、米德、庫利等人為芝加哥社會學(xué)的發(fā)展提供了哲學(xué)思想,并開創(chuàng)了一些社會學(xué)基礎(chǔ)理論研究領(lǐng)域,斯莫爾等人在介紹歐洲社會學(xué)理論等方面貢獻(xiàn)甚多,托馬斯等人則通過對波蘭移民等問題的研究開啟了社會學(xué)研究的美國化及應(yīng)用化,使美國社會學(xué)研究脫離了歐洲社會學(xué)研究的學(xué)院式抽象思辨?zhèn)鹘y(tǒng)。在其發(fā)展的全盛時期,帕克、伯吉斯等人介入到都市生態(tài)結(jié)構(gòu)以及都市行為研究,進(jìn)一步強(qiáng)化了美國社會學(xué)研究的本土化和應(yīng)用化特征,并豐富了社會學(xué)研究的實證研究方法。芝加哥社會學(xué)的發(fā)展從根本上來說是對美國二十世紀(jì)初以來社會變化與發(fā)展的一種反應(yīng),二十世紀(jì)三四十年代以后,諸如都市問題、移民問題、種族文化問題開始淡化并淡出,美國社會學(xué)研究的關(guān)注點也發(fā)生轉(zhuǎn)移,社會學(xué)芝加哥學(xué)派也隨之而衰落。同時,芝加哥學(xué)派不但對美國社會科學(xué)產(chǎn)生了深刻影響,同時也催生了美國傳播學(xué)這樣一個新興研究領(lǐng)域,社會學(xué)芝加哥學(xué)派的一些重要成員還直接參與了美國新聞傳播學(xué)的研究。
[Abstract]:The birth of the Chicago School of Sociology is a major event in the development of social science research in the United States since the beginning of the 20th century. The school has experienced several important stages of development, such as early gestation, heyday and decline.In the early gestation stage, Dewey, Meade, Kuli and others provided philosophical ideas for the development of sociology in Chicago, and opened up some fields of basic theoretical research of sociology. Small and others contributed a lot to the introduction of European sociological theories.Thomas et al. started the Americanization and application of sociological research through the study of Polish immigration and so on, which separated American sociological research from the college abstract speculative tradition of European sociological research.In the heyday of their development, Parker and Burgess were involved in the study of urban ecological structure and urban behavior, which further strengthened the localization and applied characteristics of American sociological research, and enriched the empirical research methods of sociological research.The development of sociology in Chicago is fundamentally a reaction to social change and development in the United States since the beginning of the twentieth century. After the 1930s and 40s, such as urban issues, immigration issues, and racial and cultural issues, began to fade and fade away.The focus of American sociological research has also shifted, and the Chicago School of Sociology has also declined.At the same time, the Chicago School not only had a profound impact on American social sciences, but also gave birth to a new field of American communication.Some important members of the Chicago School of Sociology are also directly involved in the study of American journalism and communication.
