【摘要】：性別不平等在當(dāng)前的美國學(xué)術(shù)界普遍存在,與男性相比,女性在這一領(lǐng)域人數(shù)較少、報酬過低。實際上,通過雇用合格的女性擔(dān)任領(lǐng)導(dǎo)職位、設(shè)置職業(yè)導(dǎo)師、制定工資平等計劃、發(fā)布男女教工工資差別數(shù)據(jù)、聘請公平顧問、加強性騷擾敏感性培訓(xùn)、建立專業(yè)的人際網(wǎng)絡(luò)、設(shè)立兒童托管服務(wù)以及伴侶雇傭九種方式可以提高女性在學(xué)術(shù)界的地位,促進(jìn)兩性平等。女性難以在學(xué)術(shù)界取得成功的原因并不是因為知識的缺乏或難解的生理因素,而是偏見、性別刻板印象等文化因素所造成的,這直接導(dǎo)致了一些擁有較好天賦的女性被剝奪了展示的機會。
[Abstract]:Gender inequality is prevalent in current American academia, where women are less represented and underpaid than men.In fact, by employing qualified women in leadership positions, setting up career mentors, developing wage equality plans, publishing data on wage differentials between men and women teaching staff, hiring fair counsellors, strengthening sexual harassment sensitivity training, and building professional networks,The establishment of child care services and the employment of partners in nine ways can enhance women's position in academia and promote gender equality.The reason why women find it difficult to succeed in academia is not because of lack of knowledge or physical factors, but because of cultural factors, such as prejudice, gender stereotyping, etc.This has directly resulted in some women with better talents being denied the opportunity to show off.
