本文是一篇翻譯報告,翻譯原文為《蘇格蘭社會保障法》(2018)的第一編以及第二編的第一章至第六章。在翻譯原文本的過程中,譯者發(fā)現(xiàn)所選文本中存在大量定語從句,且句式復雜,這不僅增加了翻譯難度,還在一定程度上直接影響譯文的質量。鑒于此,本翻譯報告討論了該法律文本中定語從句的翻譯技巧。首先,譯者對定語從句的相關基本概念、定語從句的翻譯以及法律英語中的定語從句的研究進行了簡要的文獻綜述;其次通過仔細分析原文本中定語從句的例子,總結出該法律文本中四種切實可行的翻譯技巧:前置法、分譯法、合譯法、轉換法;最后,譯者總結了翻譯實踐中的經驗以及尚待解決的問題。希望本翻譯報告為法律文本中英語定語從句的漢譯以及我國的社會保障事業(yè)的發(fā)展提供參考與借鑒。
