[Abstract]:In order to realize the goal of "promoting the long-term balanced development of population" put forward in the report of the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, it is necessary to strengthen the study of the structure of the unmarried age population and to explore the main reasons for the formation of "leftover women" and "leftovers men". On the basis of the structural analysis of the data from the sixth census, it is concluded that with the increase of industrialization and modernization, the age of first marriage of a social population will be gradually delayed. As a result, more and more adults are "unmarried". But among China's unmarried population, there are more leftover males than leftovers. " Leftover men mainly live and live in rural areas, and "leftover women" mainly live and live in cities and towns, which makes it difficult to match "leftover men" and "leftover women". In addition, "leftover men" and "leftover women" have a low level of education, which makes it difficult to match "leftover men" and "leftovers women" under the influence of "intra-class marriage".
