多黨民主帶來了競爭性選舉,也改變了政治格局。本文著重探討政治思想對尼日利亞社會經(jīng)濟發(fā)展的影響和沖擊。尼日利亞各政黨具有各不相同的社會民主思想。政治思想也被運用于政治運動和動員之中。本研究試圖揭示選舉結果與政黨政治思想之間的聯(lián)系。本研究選取尼日利亞的兩個主要政黨——全體進步大會黨（A.P.C）和人民民主黨（P.D.P）,考察他們宣傳的理念以及他們所關注的問題。研究結果顯示,隨著兩個政黨之間政治思想沖突日益嚴重,投票率日益下降。本文試圖提供迄今為止最有力的證據(jù),證明尼日利亞民眾的政治行為如何受到選舉選擇的制約,以及制度化的政治思想對社會經(jīng)濟發(fā)展的重要性。
