從1989年到2003年,利比里亞卷入了一場長達14年的血腥內(nèi)戰(zhàn),在內(nèi)戰(zhàn)中,國家軍隊、非國家行為者在戰(zhàn)斗行動中用兒童作為士兵。武裝斗爭中兒童的大量參與被認為是一種消極趨勢,它嚴重損害了兒童的個人發(fā)展和利比里亞的國家安全。本研究旨在了解利比里亞內(nèi)戰(zhàn)（1989-2003）后兒童士兵在社會中的重新融入。本文還探討了在利比里亞的兒童士兵問題及其對該國安全的影響,從而進一步研究利比里亞內(nèi)戰(zhàn)的原因、戰(zhàn)爭與童兵的關(guān)系、影響童兵的因素以及在防止童兵出現(xiàn)問題上利比里亞國內(nèi)政策的弱點�；诂F(xiàn)有研究發(fā)現(xiàn),利比里亞內(nèi)戰(zhàn)是統(tǒng)治者幾十年來對其公民的壓迫導(dǎo)致的結(jié)構(gòu)性暴力。研究還發(fā)現(xiàn),利比里亞交戰(zhàn)方使用童兵的做法,抹殺了兒童的童年,并對他們未來的進步和成年后的發(fā)展都產(chǎn)生了負面影響。由于內(nèi)外部因素的共同作用,為兒童康復(fù)所實施的重返社會計劃以微乎其微的成功告終。利比里亞的前兒童士兵過去受到的虐待和忽視的證據(jù)仍然存在,他們中的許多人在身體和心理上仍存在創(chuàng)傷,他們基本上沒有受過教育,無法就業(yè),因此更易受到永久貧困和世界其他地區(qū)為武裝沖突重新征募的影響。本文結(jié)論認為,利比里亞的童兵問題,就像在世界其他地方一樣,只有解決兒童所面...
