【摘要】： 出版業(yè)的繁榮得益于民眾對(duì)知識(shí)與文化的不懈追求,更得益于社會(huì)的整體發(fā)展。18世紀(jì)下半葉,英國(guó)工業(yè)革命爆發(fā),給社會(huì)帶來(lái)了一系列重大的變革,也為出版業(yè)蓬勃發(fā)展提供了契機(jī)。英國(guó)至今都是世界聞名的傳媒大國(guó),對(duì)18世紀(jì)英國(guó)出版業(yè)展開(kāi)研究,有助于我們更全面、細(xì)致地了解當(dāng)時(shí)英國(guó)的社會(huì)面貌,也有助于更深入地理解英國(guó)的文化。 全文由序言、正文和結(jié)語(yǔ)三個(gè)部分構(gòu)成。 本文第一章為出版業(yè)繁榮的表現(xiàn),從出版物的種類(lèi)與數(shù)量、發(fā)行與流通、書(shū)商的財(cái)富與轉(zhuǎn)變?nèi)齻�(gè)方面進(jìn)行闡釋,以一系列詳盡的數(shù)據(jù)與具體實(shí)例來(lái)證明出版市場(chǎng)的活躍。這一部分特別關(guān)注到書(shū)商在整個(gè)出版業(yè)發(fā)展中的積極作用,他們不僅對(duì)出版物的發(fā)行和流通貢獻(xiàn)頗大,而且還順應(yīng)時(shí)代的潮流不斷改變經(jīng)營(yíng)方式,他們創(chuàng)設(shè)的一些出版公司直至今日仍然具有舉足輕重的影響。 第二章是本文的重點(diǎn)所在,主要探討了出版業(yè)繁榮的原因,本文從出版技術(shù)的提高,出版環(huán)境的改變,閱讀人群的增多三個(gè)方面予以闡釋。出版技術(shù)的提高離不開(kāi)社會(huì)生產(chǎn)力水平的總體發(fā)展以及創(chuàng)造意識(shí)的加強(qiáng),制度化藩籬的破除則為思想的自由傳播提供了保障,越來(lái)越多的民眾得以接觸書(shū)刊,從而形成了一個(gè)日趨成熟和不斷擴(kuò)展的出版市場(chǎng)。 第三章主要論述了出版業(yè)繁榮的影響,本文分別從流通圖書(shū)館和訂閱圖書(shū)館的誕生、獨(dú)立報(bào)紙的出現(xiàn)和新思想的傳播三方面進(jìn)行分析,并側(cè)重從文化的層面探討出版業(yè)繁榮對(duì)當(dāng)下與未來(lái)英國(guó)社會(huì)的影響。
[Abstract]:The prosperity of the publishing industry benefited from the people's unremitting pursuit of knowledge and culture, but also from the overall development of society. In the second half of the 18th century, the British industrial revolution broke out, which brought a series of major changes to the society. It also provides an opportunity for the vigorous development of the publishing industry. Britain is one of the most famous media countries all over the world. The study of the British publishing industry in the 18th century will help us to understand the society and culture of England in a more comprehensive and detailed way. The full text consists of three parts: preface, text and conclusion. The first chapter is about the prosperity of the publishing industry, which is explained from three aspects: the type and quantity of publications, the distribution and circulation, the wealth and transformation of the booksellers, and a series of detailed data and concrete examples to prove the active of the publishing market. This part pays particular attention to the positive role of booksellers in the development of the entire publishing industry, which not only contributes significantly to the distribution and circulation of publications, but also keeps changing the way in which they operate in keeping with the trend of the times. Some of the publishing companies they founded are still influential today. The second chapter is the focus of this paper, mainly discusses the reasons for the prosperity of the publishing industry, this paper from three aspects of the improvement of publishing technology, the change of publishing environment, the increase in the number of readers. The improvement of publishing technology is inseparable from the overall development of the level of social productivity and the strengthening of creative consciousness. The breaking down of institutional barriers provides a guarantee for the free dissemination of ideas, and more people have access to books and periodicals. Thus has formed a day by day mature and unceasing expansion of the publishing market. The third chapter mainly discusses the impact of the prosperity of the publishing industry. This paper analyzes the birth of circulation library and subscription library, the emergence of independent newspapers and the spread of new ideas. It also discusses the influence of the prosperity of publishing industry on the present and future British society from the cultural level.
