人文社會(huì)科學(xué)學(xué)術(shù)專著開放出版商業(yè)模式創(chuàng)新研究

【摘要】:學(xué)術(shù)專著是學(xué)術(shù)交流與傳播的主要手段,尤其在人文與社會(huì)科學(xué)領(lǐng)域,更是重要研究成果的象征。過去幾十年里,學(xué)術(shù)專著市場(chǎng)萎縮了近90%,圖書館館藏結(jié)構(gòu)發(fā)生變化,出版商為了應(yīng)對(duì)銷售額下降的危機(jī),開始轉(zhuǎn)變出版物生產(chǎn)類型,專注于大眾圖書與教材,研究人員被迫迎合市場(chǎng)制造“受歡迎”圖書,學(xué)術(shù)專著面臨出版危機(jī)。另一方面,學(xué)術(shù)交流本身正在經(jīng)歷一場(chǎng)快速變革,學(xué)術(shù)界、研究機(jī)構(gòu)與相關(guān)基金委員會(huì)對(duì)傳統(tǒng)出版規(guī)則是否適用于日益開放的互聯(lián)網(wǎng)時(shí)代產(chǎn)生了質(zhì)疑,當(dāng)前學(xué)術(shù)出版制度,尤其是人文社科領(lǐng)域的專著出版制度,反而成為了知識(shí)信息擴(kuò)散與傳播的阻力,涉及到發(fā)展中國(guó)家的研究人員和研究社區(qū)來(lái)說(shuō)尤其如此,因此,研究學(xué)術(shù)專著新型出版渠道對(duì)于研究人員和高校至關(guān)重要。本文采用文獻(xiàn)研究、案例研究、比較研究、網(wǎng)絡(luò)調(diào)查等研究方法,基于開放出版、商業(yè)模式等相關(guān)理論提出研究問題,梳理與總結(jié)國(guó)外現(xiàn)有人文社科學(xué)術(shù)專著的典型開放出版商業(yè)模式及其特征,并對(duì)這些商業(yè)模式進(jìn)行比較與評(píng)價(jià),掌握各個(gè)商業(yè)模式的運(yùn)作特點(diǎn)與適用環(huán)境,優(yōu)勢(shì)與劣勢(shì),及不同利益相關(guān)方在學(xué)術(shù)專著開放出版商業(yè)生態(tài)鏈中的互動(dòng)機(jī)制,最后分析我國(guó)發(fā)展學(xué)術(shù)專著開放出版的社會(huì)基礎(chǔ)與環(huán)境,明確利益各方參與商業(yè)模式的方式,結(jié)合國(guó)外經(jīng)驗(yàn)尋求我國(guó)學(xué)術(shù)專著開放出版商業(yè)模式的創(chuàng)新路徑與發(fā)展對(duì)策。研究表明,國(guó)外現(xiàn)行開放出版模式基于資金與流程可以分為付費(fèi)、出版商承擔(dān)風(fēng)險(xiǎn)和聚合模式,依靠單一收入來(lái)源的商業(yè)模式本質(zhì)上更不穩(wěn)定,以讀者為資金來(lái)源的商業(yè)模式更加注重傳播效果,經(jīng)濟(jì)激勵(lì)對(duì)創(chuàng)新至關(guān)重要,多樣化的資金來(lái)源渠道和贏利能力將是釋放這一潛力的關(guān)鍵要素。我國(guó)圖書開放出版實(shí)踐主要存在版權(quán)到期、OA教材和開放試閱三種模式,在這一領(lǐng)域擁有很大的發(fā)展空間與可能性。開放出版是人文社科學(xué)術(shù)專著未來(lái)發(fā)展的必然趨勢(shì),我國(guó)需要從政策層面宣傳開放精神,循序漸進(jìn)地推動(dòng)學(xué)術(shù)專著開放出版的發(fā)展與落實(shí),明確商業(yè)模式中的盈利點(diǎn)與利益方互動(dòng)參與機(jī)制,構(gòu)建良好的學(xué)術(shù)圖書開放出版生態(tài),推進(jìn)學(xué)術(shù)出版的創(chuàng)新發(fā)展。
[Abstract]:Academic monographs are the main means of academic communication and communication, especially in the fields of humanities and social sciences.In the past few decades, the market for academic monographs has shrunk by nearly 90 percent, the structure of library collections has changed, and publishers, in response to the crisis of falling sales, have begun to shift their production types of publications to focus on popular books and textbooks.Researchers have been forced to make "popular" books, and academic monographs are in danger of being published.On the other hand, academic exchange itself is undergoing a rapid transformation. Academics, research institutions and related fund committees have questioned whether the traditional publishing rules are applicable to the increasingly open Internet age, and the current academic publishing system,In particular, the system of publishing monographs in the field of humanities and social sciences has become an obstacle to the diffusion and dissemination of knowledge, especially for researchers and research communities in developing countries.It is very important for researchers and universities to study the new publishing channels of academic monographs.This paper uses literature research, case study, comparative research, network investigation and other research methods, based on open publishing, business model and other related theories to put forward research questions.Combing and summing up the typical open publishing business models and their characteristics of the existing academic monographs of humanities and social sciences abroad, comparing and evaluating these business models, mastering the operating characteristics and applicable environment, advantages and disadvantages of each business model.And the interactive mechanism of different stakeholders in the commercial ecological chain of open publishing of academic monographs. Finally, it analyzes the social foundation and environment for the development of open publishing of academic monographs in China, and clarifies the ways in which all stakeholders participate in the business model.Based on the experience of foreign countries, this paper explores the innovation path and development strategy of open publishing business model of academic monographs in China.The research shows that the current open publishing model in foreign countries can be divided into payment based on funds and processes, publishers bear risks and aggregation models, and the business model relying on a single source of income is more unstable in nature.The business model with readers as the source of funds pays more attention to the communication effect, the economic incentive is essential to innovation, the diversification of the source of funds and the profitability will be the key factors to release this potential.There are three modes in the practice of open publishing of books in our country, such as the expiration of copyright and the open trial reading of OA teaching materials, which has great development space and possibility in this field.Open publishing is the inevitable trend of the future development of the academic monographs of humanities and social sciences. Our country needs to publicize the spirit of openness from the policy level and promote the development and implementation of the open publication of academic monographs step by step.In order to promote the innovation and development of academic publishing, it is clear that the profit points in the business model and the interactive participation mechanism of the stakeholders should be defined, and a good open publishing ecology of academic books should be established.
