中國亞熱帶地區(qū)森林更新動態(tài)及其與生物和非生物環(huán)境的相互作用

  森林系統(tǒng)的自然再生對維持森林的物理和生物結(jié)構(gòu)提供了一個關(guān)鍵的機制,對保護森林物種多樣性和提供生態(tài)系統(tǒng)服務(wù)具有重要的價值。然而,人們對這一森林自然更新過程及其在群落構(gòu)建和動態(tài)中所起的關(guān)鍵作用仍缺乏了解。本論文選擇了位于中國廣西亞熱帶森林帶上的岑王老山、花坪、木倫及大瑤山的山地或喀斯特常綠落葉闊葉混交林為研究對象,重點關(guān)注種子的產(chǎn)出(即種子雨)、土壤種子庫和種子萌發(fā)形成的幼苗庫之間相互聯(lián)系的自然更新過程,探明生物和非生物因素對種群成功更新的影響,從而增加我們對最終塑造森林生態(tài)系統(tǒng)的早期植物個體發(fā)生階段的生態(tài)過程的了解。(1)大量結(jié)實指年際間的和同步的高種子生產(chǎn)的繁殖事件,是一種在許多植物種中都得到進化的廣泛分布的繁殖策略。第一部分的野外連續(xù)觀測研究分析了中華楓(Acer campbellii subs.sinense)的大量結(jié)實事件及其對種群增長的影響。結(jié)果表明中華楓的種子并不持續(xù)存在于土壤種子庫中(溫室種子萌發(fā)實驗中發(fā)現(xiàn)種子數(shù)為0),其幼苗死亡率很高,93%的新增個體存活期不超過一年。幼苗的成活率主要受到個體大小的影響,較高幼苗和葉片數(shù)量較多的個體存活率更大;其次受到幼苗所處的微生境(例如...
