【摘要】：在1939年《益世報(bào)》的《邊疆周刊》上,顧頡剛先生在他發(fā)表的《中華民族是一個(gè)》一文中明確提出:"我們從今以后要絕對(duì)鄭重使用‘民族’二字,我們對(duì)內(nèi)沒(méi)有什么民族之分,對(duì)外只有一個(gè)中華民族!"在這篇文章發(fā)表后,在學(xué)者中引發(fā)了一場(chǎng)爭(zhēng)論,特別是費(fèi)孝通先生明確表示不贊成,認(rèn)為中國(guó)內(nèi)部存在許多"民族"。近年來(lái),我國(guó)學(xué)術(shù)界也出現(xiàn)了對(duì)于56個(gè)民族是應(yīng)當(dāng)繼續(xù)稱為"民族"還是改稱"族群"的爭(zhēng)論,甚至有人提出廢棄"中華民族"的提法。通過(guò)簡(jiǎn)略地回溯20世紀(jì)30年代末的這場(chǎng)關(guān)于"中華民族"的討論,認(rèn)為這場(chǎng)討論對(duì)于當(dāng)前關(guān)于"民族"定義和是否保留"中華民族"提法的討論有重要的啟示意義。
[Abstract]:In the "Frontier Weekly" of 1939, Mr. Gu Jiegang clearly stated in his article "the Chinese Nation is one": "We must solemnly use the word 'nation' from now on, and we have no distinction for any ethnic group. There is only one Chinese nation! " After the article was published, there was a debate among scholars, especially when Mr. Fei Xiaotong made it clear that there were many "ethnic groups" in China. In recent years, there has also been a debate in Chinese academia about whether 56 ethnic groups should continue to be called "nationalities" or "ethnic groups", and some even put forward the idea of abandoning the term "Chinese nation". Through a brief review of the discussion on the "Chinese nation" in the late 1930s, it is considered that this discussion has important implications for the current discussion on the definition of "nation" and whether to retain the term "Chinese nation".
