基于視頻內容復雜度的視頻編解碼算法研究

【摘要】:新一代視頻編碼標準——高效視頻編碼標準(HEVC,High efficiency video coding)的提出,顯著提升了編碼效率,受到研究人員的廣泛重視。HEVC編碼標準中,引入了新的四叉樹編碼結構,在提高編碼效率的同時也在一定程度上的增加了編碼的復雜度,影響了編碼器的實時性。此外,幀內塊拷貝算法的引入,提升了 HEVC屏幕內容編碼的效率,但是該工具采用了固定尺寸的匹配塊搜索方法,降低了匹配塊的搜索能力。針對以上問題,論文在分析視頻內容復雜度的基礎上,從降低四叉樹編碼復雜度,提高幀內塊拷貝算法匹配效率兩個方面開展研究,提升HEVC編碼器的編碼性能。論文的主要創(chuàng)新點包括以下兩個方面。第一,針對現(xiàn)有HEVC框架的四叉樹結構編碼復雜度高的問題,深入研究了編碼單元四叉樹遞歸劃分過程,發(fā)現(xiàn)了編碼單元大小與該單元圖像復雜度之間的相關性,提出了利用圖像復雜度來跳過率失真優(yōu)化過程或提前判定編碼單元劃分的低復雜度算法,算法在基本不影響視頻壓縮質量的情況下明顯降低了編碼的復雜度。第二,研究了屏幕內容的幀內塊拷貝技術,發(fā)現(xiàn)該工具由于采用固定尺寸的匹配塊搜索方法,對一些復雜連續(xù)文字區(qū)域的匹配塊搜索能力較弱,降低了編碼效率。論文設計了一種基于自適應尺寸的匹配塊搜索方法,以方差的變化為指標對編碼單元進行自適應塊劃分,使得塊的尺寸和塊內容的復雜度成反比,從而有利于提高匹配度和編碼效率。針對以上所提兩個算法,進行了大量的實驗進行測試,實驗結果表明,論文所提第一種算法,在All Intra(AI)編碼條件下,降低了平均35%的編碼時間;所提的第二種算法,在All intra(AI)編碼條件下帶來了0.96%視頻重建質量的提升的同時只增加了平均3%的編碼時間。
[Abstract]:The new generation video coding standard, HEVC High efficiency video coding) (High Video coding Standard), has greatly improved the coding efficiency. It has been widely paid attention to by researchers, and a new quadtree coding structure has been introduced. At the same time, it also increases the complexity of encoder to some extent and affects the real-time performance of encoder. In addition, the introduction of intra-frame block copy algorithm improves the efficiency of HEVC screen content coding, but the tool uses fixed-size matching block search method, which reduces the search ability of matching block. In order to improve the coding performance of HEVC encoder, this paper analyzes the complexity of video content and improves the coding performance of HEVC encoder by reducing the complexity of quadtree coding and improving the matching efficiency of intra-frame block copy algorithm. The main innovation of the paper includes the following two aspects. First, aiming at the high complexity of the existing HEVC frame, the paper deeply studies the quadtree recursive partition process of the coding unit, and finds the correlation between the size of the coding unit and the complexity of the unit image. A low complexity algorithm using image complexity to skip the rate-distortion optimization process or determine the partition of coding units in advance is proposed. The algorithm reduces the coding complexity significantly without affecting the quality of video compression. Secondly, the intra-frame block copy technology of screen content is studied. It is found that the matching block search method of fixed size is used in this tool, and the matching block search ability of some complex continuous text regions is weak, which reduces the coding efficiency. In this paper, an adaptive block search method based on adaptive size is designed. The adaptive block partition is based on variance variation, which makes the block size inversely proportional to the complexity of block content. Therefore, it is helpful to improve the matching degree and coding efficiency. A large number of experiments have been carried out to test the two algorithms mentioned above. The experimental results show that the first algorithm can reduce the average coding time by 35% under the condition of All intra (AI) coding. Under the condition of All intra (AI, the quality of video reconstruction is improved by 0.96% and the average coding time is only increased by 3%.
