藍(lán)相液晶材料與光子學(xué)器件研究進(jìn)展

【摘要】:藍(lán)相液晶是一種三維手性自組裝軟超結(jié)構(gòu)材料,具有光學(xué)各向同性,選擇性反射波長,快速響應(yīng)等優(yōu)秀特性,無論在顯示還是光子器件的應(yīng)用上都具有良好的發(fā)展前景,吸引了研究人員的大量關(guān)注。近十年關(guān)于藍(lán)相液晶顯示領(lǐng)域的研究與工程或應(yīng)用發(fā)展迅猛,于此同時催生了其在光子學(xué)這個后顯示領(lǐng)域的研究。面對來自國際上其他先進(jìn)國家的競爭與壓力,中國大陸的學(xué)者們奮勇迎接,經(jīng)過短短數(shù)年的發(fā)展獲得了一批有顯示度的成果,在國內(nèi)外的優(yōu)秀期刊上報(bào)道了一系列富含學(xué)術(shù)性和實(shí)用性的工作。具備高熱穩(wěn)定性與顯著電光調(diào)制特性的新型藍(lán)相液晶材料及其光子學(xué)器件,如衍射光柵、相位調(diào)制器、透鏡、激光以及光衰減器等,相繼被開發(fā)出。本文追逐這些前輩留下的腳印,從材料制備、性能到光子器件設(shè)計(jì)、應(yīng)用進(jìn)行了概括性的回顧,旨在通過此綜述激發(fā)出藍(lán)相液晶在非顯示光子學(xué)應(yīng)用領(lǐng)域更多的研究靈感;若能起到進(jìn)一步促進(jìn)該領(lǐng)域發(fā)展的作用,筆者將感到幸甚之至!
[Abstract]:Blue-phase liquid crystal is a kind of three-dimensional chiral self-assembled soft superstructure material. It has many excellent properties such as optical isotropy, selective reflection wavelength, fast response and so on. It has a good development prospect in both the display and the application of photonic devices. Has attracted a lot of attention from researchers. In the last decade, the research and engineering of blue-phase liquid crystal display (blue-phase liquid crystal display) has developed rapidly. In the face of competition and pressure from other advanced countries in the world, scholars from mainland China have come forward to welcome the research in the field of photonics. After a few short years of development, we have achieved a number of results with the degree of display. A series of academic and practical work have been reported in excellent journals at home and abroad. Novel blue-phase liquid crystal materials with high thermal stability and remarkable electro-optic modulation properties and their photonics devices such as diffraction gratings, phase modulators, lenses, are reported. Lasers and optical attenuators have been developed one after another. This paper reviews the applications of these predecessors, from material fabrication, performance to photonic device design. The purpose of this review is to inspire more research inspiration of blue liquid crystal in the application of non-display photonics. If it can further promote the development of this field, I would be very fortunate!
