星系團A2319的多色測光研究

【摘要】:作為宇宙中最大的引力束縛系統(tǒng),星系團通常位于宇宙纖維狀結(jié)構(gòu)的節(jié)點上,是宇宙大尺度結(jié)構(gòu)的示蹤物,也是研究星系之間相互作用和各種演化過程的環(huán)境效應(yīng)的重要實驗室。 本文主要利用BATC(Beijing-Arizona-Taiwan-Connecticut)的多色測光數(shù)據(jù),對星系團A2319(zc=0.0557)進行了初步的測光研究。BATC多色測光系統(tǒng)利用國家天文臺興隆觀測基地的60/90厘米施密特望遠鏡,配備了15個中帶(a-k,m-P)濾光片,波長覆蓋范圍從3000A到10000A。在58’×58’視場中,NASA/IPAC Extragalactic Database (NED)已經(jīng)收錄了140個已知光譜紅移的星系數(shù)據(jù),其中137個星系是A2319的成員星系(樣本Ⅰ)。樣本Ⅰ的空間投影分布與局域速度分布均支持A2319是個動力學(xué)活躍的星系團,這也與X射線的觀測相吻合。K-test表明在A2319中心區(qū)域存在2個子結(jié)構(gòu),而且空間投影分布有東北-西南方向的拉伸。根據(jù)位力定理,估算了A2319主團和子團的質(zhì)量,二者在投影角α處于22°到82°范圍內(nèi)是引力束縛的。 利用BATC多色測光數(shù)據(jù),我們通過雙色圖和測光紅移估計來挑選A2319中暗成員星系的候選體。A2319處于低銀緯(~13°)天區(qū),視寧度較差的BATC圖像具有嚴重的前景星場污染。為了排除暗成員星系候選體中由于前景星場污染造成的偽源,我們利用美國Steward大學(xué)的Bok2.3m望遠鏡的視寧度良好的U波段圖像,最終挑選出233個暗成員星系。與樣本Ⅰ合并得到了一個包括370個成員星系的大樣本(樣本Ⅱ);跇颖劲,A2319成員星系的空間分布表現(xiàn)出更明顯的動力學(xué)子結(jié)構(gòu)。局域速度分布的統(tǒng)計檢驗顯示,星系團A2319西北(NW)方向10’處存在顯著的子結(jié)構(gòu),與前人的研究結(jié)果相符。同時,在團中心西北方向大約22’處還發(fā)現(xiàn)一個子團。 此外,基于Sloan光譜巡天數(shù)據(jù)提供的242個成員星系的光譜,利用星族合成軟件STARLIGHT獲得了這些成員星系的星族成份和恒星形成歷史,研究了這些星系的恒星形成性質(zhì)(如特征星族年齡、金屬豐度、恒星質(zhì)量和恒星形成率等)隨星系面密度的變化規(guī)律。研究結(jié)果表明:處于環(huán)境密度較高的團中心區(qū)域的星系具有較高的星族年齡和金屬豐度,其比恒星形成率較低,而在最近24.5Myr內(nèi)的恒星形成活動受到抑制。最后,我們還確認了星系金屬豐度、比恒星形成率與恒星質(zhì)量的相關(guān)性。該部分研究是一年前通過團隊合作完成,論文已經(jīng)被《天文學(xué)報》接收,即將發(fā)表。
