脈沖星同步—曲率輻射過程的研究

【摘要】:脈沖星是典型的銀河伽馬射線源,帶電粒子可在加速區(qū)內(nèi)被加速到相對論性能量,從而產(chǎn)生高能輻射。然而,加速區(qū)的位置、高能粒子的產(chǎn)生、輻射過程等物理問題一直不清楚?赡艿睦碚撃P桶ㄍ忾g隙模型,該模型最初由鄭廣生教授等人于1986年提出,在后續(xù)的研究中,鄭廣生教授及其合作者考慮了同步-曲率輻射過程,不斷改進了模型。2014年Vigano詳細考慮了外間隙模型中的同步-曲率輻射過程,對模型進行更深入的研究,給出了更加緊湊的計算公式。在本文中,我們基于Vigano改進的同步—曲率輻射公式,對脈沖星外間隙模型中電子的輻射過程做了進一步的研究,并用Fermi衛(wèi)星給出的伽馬射線脈沖星觀測數(shù)據(jù)來檢測該輻射模型,主要包括如下內(nèi)容:1.根據(jù)電子的動力學方程進行了數(shù)值計算,給出了外間隙中運動電子的洛倫茲因子和投射角隨位置的變化;2.給出了電子垂直和平行部分的能量和動量變化,直觀呈現(xiàn)了電子早期從同步輻射到曲率輻射的過渡;3.利用改進的模型,運用LM方法擬合了33顆具有較好觀測結(jié)果的年輕脈沖星大于100MeV能段的相位平均譜;4.估計了年輕脈沖星的伽馬射線光度及轉(zhuǎn)化效率并與觀測對比,研究了伽馬射線光度、轉(zhuǎn)化效率、旋轉(zhuǎn)能損率和特征年齡間的相關(guān)性。研究結(jié)果表明單純的同步輻射或者曲率輻射都不足于描述帶電粒子運動過程中的輻射,考慮了同步-曲率輻射的外間隙模型可以解釋觀測結(jié)果。
[Abstract]:Pulsar is a typical galactic gamma ray source. Charged particles can be accelerated to relativistic energy in the acceleration region, resulting in high energy radiation. However, the location of the acceleration region, the generation of high-energy particles and the radiation process have been unclear. Possible theoretical models include the outer gap model, which was first proposed by Professor Zheng Guangsheng and others in 1986. In subsequent studies, Professor Zheng Guangsheng and his collaborators considered synchrotron curvature radiation processes. In 2014, Vigano considered the synchrotron curvature radiation process in the outer clearance model in detail, studied the model more deeply, and gave a more compact formula. In this paper, based on the improved synchrotron curvature radiation formula of Vigano, we further study the radiation process of electrons in the pulsar outer gap model, and use the gamma ray pulsar observation data from Fermi satellite to detect the radiation model. The main contents are as follows: 1. The Lorentz factor and projection angle of the moving electron in the outer gap are calculated numerically according to the kinetic equation of the electron. 2. The energy and momentum variations of the vertical and parallel parts of the electron are given, and the transition from synchrotron radiation to curvature radiation in the early electron phase is intuitively presented. Using the improved model, the phase average spectra of 33 young pulsars with good observation results are fitted by using LM method. 4. The gamma ray luminosity and conversion efficiency of young pulsars are estimated and compared with observations. The correlation between gamma ray luminosity, conversion efficiency, rotational energy loss rate and characteristic age is studied. The results show that both synchrotron radiation and curvature radiation are insufficient to describe the radiation in the motion of charged particles. The external gap model of synchrotron curvature radiation can be used to explain the observed results.
