光纖通道RDMA技術(shù)的研究與實(shí)現(xiàn)

【摘要】:光纖通道具有高速、低延遲、高可靠、傳輸距離遠(yuǎn)、可擴(kuò)展性好等特點(diǎn),其成為目前存儲(chǔ)區(qū)域網(wǎng)絡(luò)(SAN,Storage Area Network)的最主要的互聯(lián)技術(shù)。在存儲(chǔ)網(wǎng)絡(luò)的數(shù)據(jù)訪問過程中,RDMA(Remote Direct MemoryAccess)即遠(yuǎn)程直接內(nèi)存訪問,可以有效地避免數(shù)據(jù)在內(nèi)核內(nèi)存和用戶內(nèi)存之間的多次拷貝,提高主機(jī)端數(shù)據(jù)處理的效率。研究RDMA技術(shù)在光纖通道中的應(yīng)用,可以將兩者的優(yōu)勢(shì)相結(jié)合,并應(yīng)用于FC-SAN存儲(chǔ)網(wǎng)絡(luò)中,可以有效地降低網(wǎng)絡(luò)延遲、主機(jī)端數(shù)據(jù)處理延遲,從而大大提高網(wǎng)絡(luò)的性能。 針對(duì)基于RDMA的FC-SAN系統(tǒng)的整體框架,研究系統(tǒng)發(fā)起端和目標(biāo)端包含的各個(gè)層次的主要功能、層與層之間的銜接和交互過程、以及SCSI命令和數(shù)據(jù)從發(fā)起端到目標(biāo)端傳輸過程中在各個(gè)層次中所做的處理。 完成了光纖通道SCSI低層設(shè)備驅(qū)動(dòng)和RDMA處理層的設(shè)計(jì)與實(shí)現(xiàn)。光纖通道SCSI低層設(shè)備驅(qū)動(dòng)實(shí)現(xiàn)了與Linux核態(tài)的SCSI中間層的交互;RDMA處理層通過虛擬字符設(shè)備接口實(shí)現(xiàn)了與用戶層應(yīng)用程序的交互;實(shí)現(xiàn)了FCP協(xié)議,使自主研發(fā)的光纖適配器正常地收發(fā)光纖通道幀,實(shí)現(xiàn)了遠(yuǎn)程SCSI存儲(chǔ)設(shè)備掛載到本地;完成了光纖通道點(diǎn)對(duì)點(diǎn)拓?fù)浣Y(jié)構(gòu)的搭建,采用RDMA方式通過內(nèi)存注冊(cè)、映射保留內(nèi)存、接收應(yīng)用程序請(qǐng)求及處理等過程,,對(duì)掛載到本地的遠(yuǎn)程SCSI存儲(chǔ)設(shè)備進(jìn)行讀寫訪問,并與普通方式下的讀寫訪問性能進(jìn)行對(duì)比,測(cè)試結(jié)果表明,RDMA方式的讀寫訪問性能明顯優(yōu)于普通方式下的讀寫訪問性能。
[Abstract]:Optical fiber channel has the characteristics of high speed, low delay, high reliability, long transmission distance and good expansibility. It has become the most important interconnection technology of storage Area network. In the process of data access in storage network, remote Direct memory access (RDMA), that is, remote direct memory access, can effectively avoid multiple copies of data between kernel memory and user memory, and improve the efficiency of data processing on host side. The application of RDMA technology in optical fiber channel can combine the advantages of the two technologies and be applied to FC-SAN storage network. It can effectively reduce the network delay and data processing delay on the host side, thus greatly improving the performance of the network. In view of the overall framework of FC-SAN system based on RDMA, the main functions of each level, the connection and interaction between layers, are studied at the initiator and the target of the system. And the processing of SCSI commands and data from the initiator to the target at all levels. The design and implementation of fiber channel SCSI device driver and RDMA processing layer are completed. The fiber channel SCSI low-level device driver realizes the interaction with the Linux core SCSI intermediate layer and the user layer application program through the virtual character device interface, and implements the FCP protocol. The self-developed fiber adapter can send and receive the optical fiber channel frame normally, realize the remote SCSI storage device mount to the local place, complete the construction of the optical fiber channel point-to-point topology structure, adopt the RDMA mode to register through the memory, map the memory, keep the memory, In the process of receiving application request and processing, the read / write access of remote SCSI storage device mounted to the local area is carried out, and the performance of read / write access is compared with that in common mode. The test results show that the performance of RDMA is better than that of RDMA.
