[Abstract]:Toms River Town is an ordinary small town in New Jersey. In 1952, the world's three largest chemical giants, Ciba, Garge and Sandz, moved from the Rhine to the Ohio River to Tombs River Town. While the arrival of the chemical giant has prospered the town's economy, environmental problems have become increasingly acute: indiscriminate discharge of dye wastewater and indiscriminate disposal of solid waste, which has led to a "cancer cloud" in the town, with a large number of children diagnosed with cancer. Dan Faginin, an associate professor of journalism at New York University and an environmental journalist, wrote the Thomas River case with rigor and prudence for seven years.
