YAG及Yb:YAG透明激光陶瓷的制備與光學(xué)性能研究

【摘要】:釔鋁石榴石(Y3Al5O12,YAG)具有非常好的機械性能和光學(xué)性能,是一種很理想的激光基質(zhì)材料。有關(guān)的粉體制備技術(shù),成型技術(shù)和透明陶瓷燒結(jié)制備技術(shù)一直是國內(nèi)外關(guān)注的焦點。本論文主要研究了固相反應(yīng)法和化學(xué)共沉淀法制備YAG及Yb:YAG透明陶瓷及其光學(xué)性能。研究工作主要包括以下幾個方面:1.采用固相反應(yīng)法通過真空燒結(jié)制備了YAG陶瓷,系統(tǒng)的研究球磨轉(zhuǎn)速、添加劑用量、燒結(jié)工藝等因素對YAG透明陶瓷顯微結(jié)構(gòu)和光學(xué)性能的影響。實驗結(jié)果表明,球磨轉(zhuǎn)速為160 r/min時,球磨后粉體混合均勻,真空燒結(jié)制備出透明陶瓷晶粒尺寸較均勻,在可見光波段透光率達(dá)到60%;燒結(jié)助劑MgO的最佳添加量為0.1 wt%。燒結(jié)溫度為1750℃,保溫時間為5h時所制備的YAG透明陶瓷透光率最高。2.采用固相反應(yīng)法通過真空燒結(jié)制備了Yb:YAG透明陶瓷,詳細(xì)研究不同燒結(jié)溫度和摻雜量對Yb:YAG透明陶瓷顯微結(jié)構(gòu)和光學(xué)性能的影響;同時嘗試采用均相法制備球形Y203和Yb:Y2O3納米粉體,然后與商業(yè)Al2O3和Yb2O3粉體混合真空燒結(jié)制備Yb:YAG透明陶瓷。結(jié)果發(fā)現(xiàn),摻雜5 at%Yb時,陶瓷具有一定的透光率。所有樣品在1700℃燒結(jié)后都只有YAG相,無其他雜質(zhì)相。當(dāng)摻雜濃度為1 at%時,最佳燒結(jié)溫度為1650℃,比YAG陶瓷最佳燒結(jié)溫度略低。采用先制備Yb:Y2O3納米粉體,然后混合A1203粉體真空燒結(jié)所制備的Yb:YAG透明陶瓷透光率更高。3.采用化學(xué)共沉淀法合成YAG和不同摻雜濃度的Yb:YAG納米粉體,隨后通過真空燒結(jié)制備陶瓷。研究發(fā)現(xiàn),略微增加反應(yīng)溶液中鋁離子的濃度,即當(dāng)Y3+:Al3+濃度為9:16時,可形成不含雜相的純立方相YAG納米粉體,所得粉體分散性較好,形狀為棒狀,平均顆粒尺寸約為150 nm。利用此YAG納米粉體可制備出具有一定透光率的YAG陶瓷;通過熒光光譜分析,摻雜30at%Yb3+并沒有發(fā)生濃度猝滅效應(yīng),表明Yb可以實現(xiàn)高濃度摻雜,有利于制備出高功率的固體激光器。
[Abstract]:Yttrium aluminum garnet (Y3Al5O12YAGG) has very good mechanical and optical properties and is an ideal laser matrix material. Related powder preparation technology, molding technology and transparent ceramic sintering technology have been the focus of attention at home and abroad. In this paper, the preparation and optical properties of YAG and Yb: YAG transparent ceramics by solid state reaction and chemical coprecipitation were studied. The research work mainly includes the following aspects: 1. YAG ceramics were prepared by vacuum sintering by solid state reaction. The effects of milling speed, additive dosage and sintering process on the microstructure and optical properties of YAG transparent ceramics were studied systematically. The experimental results show that when the rotating speed of ball mill is 160 r/min, the powder is mixed uniformly, the grain size of transparent ceramics is uniform and the transmittance reaches 60 in the visible wave band, and the optimum addition amount of MgO is 0.1 wt.
