海浪混合作用對熱帶海洋海表面溫度模擬的影響

【摘要】:赤道太平洋冷舌模擬偏低且過于西伸是一個共性問題;谔卣鞑▍(shù)化理論,利用美國國家環(huán)境預報中心(National Centers for Environmental Prediction,NCEP)再分析風場驅(qū)動海浪模式WAVEWATCHⅢ模擬所得的有效波高、波周期、波長等海浪要素,計算出海浪混合作用引起的垂直渦動動量系數(shù)和熱混合系數(shù),將其引入到SBPOM(Stony Brook Parallel Ocean Model)環(huán)流模式的動量控制方程中,由此探究海浪混合作用對熱帶海洋海表面溫度模擬的影響。初步數(shù)值模擬研究結(jié)果表明,海浪混合作用的考慮,有效地改進了環(huán)流模式模擬熱帶海洋海表面溫度偏低和赤道冷舌偏冷且過于西伸的現(xiàn)象,使得環(huán)流模式對熱帶海洋的模擬效果更好。
