[Abstract]:The symposium on "Blue Ocean Civilization and pluralistic Coastal Society" was held at Shanghai normal University from May 28 to 29, 2016, bringing together more than 70 experts and scholars from more than 40 universities and scientific research institutions at home and abroad. To jointly discuss the important impact of marine civilization on the historical development of China and the significance of the national strategy of the "Maritime Silk Road of the 21st Century" to the current national construction and the development of international relations. At the opening ceremony on the morning of May 28, Professor Su Zhiliang, Vice President of the Shanghai Society of History, delivered the opening remarks, stating that the ocean provides for the development of coastal society.
