金屬修飾的微結(jié)構(gòu)光纖偏振分束器

【摘要】:提出了一種金屬修飾的微結(jié)構(gòu)光纖偏振分束器,并且利用全矢量有限元法仿真分析了該偏振分束器的長度與其結(jié)構(gòu)參數(shù)的關(guān)系,進(jìn)而得出了該偏振分束器長度隨孔間距、占空比變化的一般規(guī)律。研究結(jié)果表明:當(dāng)其他結(jié)構(gòu)參數(shù)一定時,該偏振分束器長度會隨著孔間距的減小而減短;占空比減小,偏振分束器長度也會隨之減短。最終綜合考慮其性能與金屬材料帶來的損耗的影響,設(shè)計出一種結(jié)構(gòu)簡單的微結(jié)構(gòu)光纖偏振分束器。該偏振分束器長度為3.523 mm,在其工作波長1.55μm處消光比高達(dá)74.9 d B,消光比高于20 d B的波長范圍為1.53~1.57μm之間的40 nm范圍,覆蓋了整個光通信的C波段范圍。并且該偏振分束器有著較好的冗余特性,在偏振分束器長度存在±5%的誤差時,仍能保持較好的性能。
[Abstract]:A metal modified fiber polarization splitter is proposed. The relationship between the length of the polarization beam splitter and its structure parameters is simulated by using the full vector finite element method, and the length of the polarization beam splitter with the distance between the holes is obtained. The general law of duty cycle change. The results show that the length of the polarization beam splitter decreases with the decrease of the hole spacing, and the length of the polarization beam splitter decreases with the decrease of duty cycle when other structural parameters are fixed. Finally, considering the influence of the properties and the loss caused by metal materials, a simple micro-structure fiber polarization beam splitter is designed. The polarization splitter is 3.523 mm in length, and the extinction ratio is 74.9 dB at the operating wavelength of 1.55 渭 m, and the extinction ratio is over 20 dB in the range of 40 nm from 1.53 渭 m to 1.57 渭 m, covering the C band range of the whole optical communication. The polarization splitter has good redundancy, and it can still keep good performance when the error of the length of the polarization splitter is 鹵5%.
