【摘要】：本文通過對155個(gè)國家1980年至2010年面板數(shù)據(jù)的分析,研究了匯率制度與收入不平等之間的關(guān)系。文獻(xiàn)和實(shí)證分析表明,較之浮動(dòng)匯率制,固定匯率制更有助于貿(mào)易發(fā)展、經(jīng)濟(jì)穩(wěn)定與就業(yè)提高,從而能夠縮小收入差距,但固定匯率制容易催生低效集權(quán)的政府,這又會(huì)使得收入差距擴(kuò)大。相比之下,中間匯率制度能夠顯著縮小收入差距,即匯率制度與收入差距之間存在著U型關(guān)系。進(jìn)一步研究發(fā)現(xiàn),中間匯率制通過促進(jìn)就業(yè),縮小了收入差距,且這一傳導(dǎo)機(jī)制在非OECD國家尤為顯著。
[Abstract]:By analyzing the panel data of 155 countries from 1980 to 2010, this paper studies the relationship between exchange rate regime and income inequality. Literature and empirical analysis show that, compared with floating exchange rate system, fixed exchange rate system is more conducive to trade development, economic stability and employment increase, thus narrowing the income gap, but fixed exchange rate system is easy to produce inefficient centralized government. This, in turn, will widen the income gap. In contrast, the intermediate exchange rate system can significantly narrow the income gap, that is, there is a U-type relationship between the exchange rate system and the income gap. Further studies show that the intermediate exchange rate system can narrow the income gap by promoting employment, and this transmission mechanism is especially significant in non- countries.
