　　長期以來,中文新詞的翻譯問題都是翻譯研究中一個極其重要又很具爭議的課題。本文采用了修辭學的獨特視角對中文新詞的英譯進行研究,對中國政治經(jīng)濟方面的新詞進行了較為系統(tǒng)的修辭分析和研究。本文作都認為修辭應是中文新詞翻譯中的一個重要考量,譯者在翻譯過程中應盡力保持原詞的修辭特色。本文總結、研究了中文政治經(jīng)濟新詞構詞過程中所采用的諸如比喻、仿擬、轉喻、諧音等修辭方法,并對《中國日報》中對相應新詞給出的英譯進行了點評。本文引入了紐馬克有關語言功能分類的理論,力圖以這一理論為指導,提出一系列著眼于如何在翻譯過程中保持原詞修辭特色的新詞翻譯指導原則,包括盡量保持原詞修辭特色,可理解性,可接受性。在這一系列原則的指導下,結合對譯例的修辭分析和點評,本文提出了一套漢語政治經(jīng)濟新詞英譯的具體方法,包括直譯、直譯加注、回譯、意譯等,以期能夠盡量在英譯過程中保持新詞所具有的修辭特色,進而實現(xiàn)有效和對等的翻譯。
