評價(jià)理論視角下《經(jīng)濟(jì)學(xué)人》中國形象研究

【摘要】:20世紀(jì)90年代,馬丁及其同事提出的評價(jià)理論是一套應(yīng)用語言表達(dá)態(tài)度的系統(tǒng)。本文以《經(jīng)濟(jì)學(xué)人》為研究語料,運(yùn)用評價(jià)理論探討其如何呈現(xiàn)中國形象,旨在指導(dǎo)人們更好地認(rèn)識和理解評價(jià)理論,更好地表達(dá)自己的觀點(diǎn),辯證地看待其對中國的評價(jià)。本研究語料為2015年下半年《經(jīng)濟(jì)學(xué)人》中中國專欄的報(bào)道,共55篇,其中關(guān)于政治報(bào)道14篇,社會報(bào)道26篇,經(jīng)濟(jì)報(bào)道5篇,科技報(bào)道3篇,文化報(bào)道7篇,共擇取92條語料。以馬丁提出的評價(jià)理論為框架,從態(tài)度,介入和級差三大方面進(jìn)行分析;以演繹法為主,定量分析為輔,定量分析采用語言學(xué)語料庫統(tǒng)計(jì)軟件UAM Corpus Tool,演繹法以評價(jià)理論為依據(jù)分析《經(jīng)濟(jì)學(xué)人》如何評價(jià)中國形象。研究結(jié)果表明,《經(jīng)濟(jì)學(xué)人》應(yīng)用了豐富的評價(jià)資源呈現(xiàn)中國形象。其中,介入系統(tǒng)所占比例最高,為50.31%,其次是級差系統(tǒng),所占比例為43.31%,再次是態(tài)度系統(tǒng),所占比例為6.38%。由此可見,《經(jīng)濟(jì)學(xué)人》主要運(yùn)用了評價(jià)系統(tǒng)中介入資源和級差資源對中國進(jìn)行評價(jià),說明報(bào)道主要運(yùn)用數(shù)據(jù)說話,引用外部聲音加強(qiáng)自身理據(jù)的說服力。第一,在態(tài)度系統(tǒng)中,鑒賞資源所占比例最多,態(tài)度資源中負(fù)面資源所占比例高于正面資源所占的比例,說明《經(jīng)濟(jì)學(xué)人》對中國保持一種負(fù)面的態(tài)度。第二,介入系統(tǒng)中,主要應(yīng)用了對話性收縮資源強(qiáng)化觀點(diǎn),以此引起共鳴并表明報(bào)道者的立場。第三,級差系統(tǒng)中主要應(yīng)用語勢資源加強(qiáng)中國負(fù)面形象,側(cè)面反映了西方媒體的擔(dān)憂。總體說來,《經(jīng)濟(jì)學(xué)人》呈現(xiàn)中國的負(fù)面形象偏多,說明報(bào)道大部分是根據(jù)西方價(jià)值觀念和意識形態(tài)看待中國,我們需堅(jiān)定立場,努力維護(hù)中國形象;另一方面說明西方發(fā)達(dá)國家對中國的迅速發(fā)展存在一定的偏見和誤解,我們需辯證看待,并正確地批判式地接受評價(jià)系統(tǒng)。
[Abstract]:In 1990s, Martin and his colleagues put forward the evaluation theory is a set of language expression attitude system. This paper takes the Economist as the research corpus, using the evaluation theory to explore how to present the image of China. In order to guide people to better understand and understand the evaluation theory, better express their views. The corpus of this study is the Chinese column of the Economist in the second half of 2015, with 55 articles, of which 14 are political reports and 26 are social reports. There are 5 economic reports, 3 science and technology reports, 7 cultural reports, and 92 corpus selected. Based on the evaluation theory put forward by Martin, this paper analyzes from three aspects: attitude, intervention and difference. The main method is deductive, the quantitative analysis is supplemented by quantitative analysis, and the quantitative analysis is carried out by UAM Corpus Tool, a statistical software of linguistic corpus. Based on the theory of evaluation, the deductive method analyzes how the Economist evaluates the image of China. The results show that the Economist has applied abundant evaluation resources to present the image of China. Intervention system accounted for the highest proportion, 50.31, followed by the differential system, the proportion is 43.31, again is the attitude system, the proportion is 6.38. The Economist mainly uses the intervention resources and the differential resources in the evaluation system to evaluate China, explaining that the report mainly uses data to speak, citing external voices to strengthen the persuasion of its own motivation. First. In the attitude system, appreciation resources account for the largest proportion, the proportion of negative resources in attitude resources is higher than that of positive resources, which shows that the Economist maintains a negative attitude towards China. In the intervention system, we mainly use the viewpoint of conversational contractile resource strengthening to resonate and show the reporter's position. Thirdly, the hierarchical differential system mainly uses the potential resources to strengthen the negative image of China. It reflects the worries of the Western media. Generally speaking, the Economist has more negative images of China, indicating that most of the reports are based on Western values and ideologies, and we need to stand firm. Strive to maintain the image of China; On the other hand, the western developed countries have some prejudice and misunderstanding to the rapid development of China. We should treat it dialectically and accept the evaluation system critically.
