[Abstract]:Siemens has been awarded a contract in Poland for its advanced H class gas turbine, according to the September-October 2014 issue of Gas Turbine World. This is the first time that the company will build a full-scale H-class combined cycle power plant outside Germany in Central Europe. Construction of a 596 MW gas turbine combined cycle power station for PKN Orlen (Eastern Europe's largest oil refining company is under way. The power station in Pwotsk, about 100 km northwest of Warsaw, the Polish capital, was designed to supply electricity to the national grid, and also to supply power and production to refineries
