[Abstract]:Deeply influenced by liberal theology, Bao Guanglin held a pluralistic and open attitude toward Christianity, his ideal of saving the nation and saving the world, and the work of serving the society and reforming the society. Both are dear to Lao She, who was searching for new values in the early 1920s. On the other hand, Bao Guang Lin's firm and confident attitude in the Chinese church localization movement, for the sake of seeking church independence and mediating between the missionary association, makes Lao She, who originally had ambiguous attitude towards the foreign religion, feel the same voice. Of course, this does not mean that Lao She is completely convinced of Baoguang Lin's religious views. The relationship between Baoguang Lin and Lao She has mutual identity, mutual appreciation of ideas, and some parts that are different and complementary to each other. But this does not affect the maintenance of a close and cooperative relationship between them.
