林語(yǔ)堂與白話文的歐化

【摘要】:提到白話文運(yùn)動(dòng),我們自然而然地會(huì)想到胡適、魯迅,而事實(shí)上林語(yǔ)堂在白話文運(yùn)動(dòng)的初期也是得力戰(zhàn)將之一,但在文學(xué)史上他卻飽受爭(zhēng)議,原因之一是其白話文及文章觀念在1930年代的重大轉(zhuǎn)變。本文主要圍繞這一重大轉(zhuǎn)變進(jìn)行討論,分析其轉(zhuǎn)變之原因,以及轉(zhuǎn)變之后的理論和實(shí)踐的矛盾,文章主要分為林語(yǔ)堂與白話文運(yùn)動(dòng)、林語(yǔ)堂與歐化白話文、林語(yǔ)堂對(duì)白話文的實(shí)踐三個(gè)部分,來(lái)分析林語(yǔ)堂對(duì)白話文的態(tài)度以及他在白話文運(yùn)動(dòng)中的位子,探討林語(yǔ)堂對(duì)歐化白話進(jìn)行反思、由積極推進(jìn)白話文運(yùn)動(dòng)轉(zhuǎn)而提倡“語(yǔ)錄體”的原因,通過(guò)對(duì)其創(chuàng)作及翻譯實(shí)踐的分析,論述其“語(yǔ)錄體”主張的不可操作性以及理論主張與創(chuàng)作實(shí)踐的不一致性。本文將采用文本細(xì)讀、材料分析、史料搜集、歸納總結(jié)等研究方法,并結(jié)合歷史學(xué)、語(yǔ)言學(xué)知識(shí)對(duì)林語(yǔ)堂的創(chuàng)作和翻譯實(shí)踐進(jìn)行細(xì)致的分析。文章分為三部分:第一部分,主要對(duì)白話、白話文、歐化白話文的概念進(jìn)行界定,同時(shí)分析白話與白話文,歐化與白話文的關(guān)系;對(duì)林語(yǔ)堂在新文化運(yùn)動(dòng)前后的言論和實(shí)踐的梳理,厘清林語(yǔ)堂在白話文運(yùn)動(dòng)中的位子及態(tài)度。第二部分,梳理林語(yǔ)堂在新文化運(yùn)動(dòng)前期對(duì)歐化白話文的創(chuàng)作實(shí)踐,主要從主語(yǔ)增加、句子延長(zhǎng)等五個(gè)部分來(lái)分析林語(yǔ)堂早期(1933年以前)創(chuàng)作中明顯的歐化傾向;分析林語(yǔ)堂由積極推進(jìn)白話文運(yùn)動(dòng)到反思?xì)W化白話文進(jìn)而轉(zhuǎn)向提倡“語(yǔ)錄體”的原因。第三部分,通過(guò)對(duì)其1933年后創(chuàng)作及翻譯作品的分析,發(fā)現(xiàn)其翻譯以及語(yǔ)錄體的創(chuàng)作實(shí)踐依然有明顯的歐化特征;他所提倡的語(yǔ)錄體只不過(guò)是有古意的歐化白話,他倡導(dǎo)的語(yǔ)錄體并非真正幽默、性靈,只有閑適,從而論述其“語(yǔ)錄體”主張?jiān)谌甏皇恰皵嚲侄选薄?br/>[Abstract]:When it comes to the vernacular movement, it's natural to think of Hu Shi Lu Xun, and in fact Lin Yutang was one of the most successful men in the early days of the vernacular movement, but he was controversial in the history of literature. One reason is that its vernacular and literary ideas changed significantly in the 1930 s. This paper mainly discusses this important change, analyzes the reason of the change, and the contradiction between theory and practice after the transformation. The article is divided into Lin Yutang and vernacular movement, Lin Yutang and Europeanization vernacular writing. Three parts of Lin Yutang's practice of vernacular Chinese, to analyze Lin Yutang's attitude to vernacular and his position in vernacular movement, and to discuss Lin Yutang's reflection on Europeanized vernacular. From actively promoting the vernacular language movement to advocating the "quotation style", through the analysis of its creation and translation practice, this paper discusses the inoperability of its "quotation style" and the inconsistency between the theoretical proposition and the creative practice. In this paper, we will adopt the methods of text reading, material analysis, historical data collection, summary and so on, and make a detailed analysis of Lin Yutang's creation and translation practice with the knowledge of history and linguistics. The article is divided into three parts: the first part, mainly defines the concepts of vernacular, Europeanization vernacular, at the same time analyzes the relationship between vernacular and vernacular, Europeanization and vernacular; Combing the speech and practice of Lin Yutang before and after the New Culture Movement, the author clarifies the position and attitude of Lin Yutang in the vernacular language Movement. The second part, combing Lin Yutang's writing practice of Europeanized vernacular writing in the early stage of the New Cultural Movement, mainly analyzes the obvious Europeanization tendency in Lin Yutang's early (before 1933) creation from five parts: the increase of subject and the extension of sentence. This paper analyzes the reasons why Lin Yutang changed from actively promoting the vernacular movement to introspecting the Europeanized vernacular and then to advocating the "quotation style". In the third part, through the analysis of his creation and translation after 1933, it is found that his translation and the writing practice of the quotations still have obvious characteristics of Europeanization, and the quotations he advocates are only Europeanized vernacular with ancient meanings. The quotations he advocated were not really humorous, spiritual, but casual, so he argued that his quotation was only "stirring up the situation" in the 1930s.
