框架理論下的《紐約時報》上海世博會報道研究

【摘要】:隨著全球化進程的不斷推進,世界在政治、經(jīng)濟、文化等各方面都趨向一體化。全球信息化也是當今世界的一個重要特點,它所帶來的,是國際傳播和全球傳播的空前發(fā)展。國家在國際上的形象對國家發(fā)展的影響日益重要。2010年上海舉辦第41界世博會,國際媒體對于上海世博會的報道情況影響著上海乃至中國在國際上的形象,具有較大的研究價值。 本文以美國《紐約時報》2010年4月至11月對上海世博會的報道為研究對象,采用框架理論對其報道特點進行了實證研究。文章首先從總體框架角度,通過統(tǒng)計分析報道的數(shù)量、報道基調(diào)、議題設(shè)置、報道手法方面對《紐約時報》上海世博會報道特點及原因進行分析,總結(jié)出以下報道特點:報道基調(diào)以負面為主;報道議題集中于政治和經(jīng)濟方面;利益及觀念方面的沖突影響報道傾向性;根據(jù)主觀意向重構(gòu)客觀事實;忽視展覽推進進程。再從時空框架角度,即運用二維測量框架理論分析得出其新聞報道特點:全方位的時空報道,框架豐富;框架變化符合媒體報道的一般規(guī)律;對“過去”框架的建構(gòu)上側(cè)重對積習(xí)的整治;對“現(xiàn)在”框架的建構(gòu)游離于上海世博會現(xiàn)場;對“未來”框架的建構(gòu)側(cè)重于顯示上海世博會存在的問題;對“個人”框架的建構(gòu)上采用以點帶面的方式;對“社區(qū)”框架的建構(gòu)主要著眼于負面報道;對“區(qū)域”框架的建構(gòu)上重籌備輕影響;對“國家”框架的建構(gòu)上表現(xiàn)出西方媒體對中國形象的刻板印象;對“國際”框架的建構(gòu)上忽視上海世博會的國際影響。最后提出基于其報道的思考:進行對國外媒體的針對性報道;精心策劃媒體報道框架;設(shè)置不同時空階段的媒體議程;建構(gòu)動態(tài)變化的時空框架以保持新聞全面性和新鮮性;選擇能反映客觀事物本質(zhì)的典型事件進行報道;運用客觀的報道手法表達媒體意識。
[Abstract]:With the development of globalization, the world tends to be integrated in politics, economy, culture and so on. Global informatization is also an important characteristic of the world today. It brings unprecedented development of international and global communication. The influence of national image on national development is becoming more and more important. The 41st World Expo was held in Shanghai in 2010. The international media report on Shanghai World Expo has great research value on the international image of Shanghai and even China. This paper takes the report of Shanghai World Expo from April to November 2010 in the New York Times of the United States as the research object and makes an empirical study on its reporting characteristics by using the frame theory. First of all, from the perspective of the overall framework, through statistical analysis of the number of reports, the tone of the report, the topic setting, and the reporting techniques, the article analyzes the characteristics and reasons for the coverage of the Shanghai World Expo by the New York Times. The main features of the report are as follows: the main features of the report are negative tone; the topic of the report is focused on the political and economic aspects; conflicts of interests and ideas affect the tendency of reporting; the objective facts are reconstructed according to the subjective intention; and the process of promoting the exhibition is ignored. Then from the angle of space-time frame, that is, using the theory of two-dimensional measurement frame, the characteristics of news report are obtained: omnidirectional space-time report, rich frame, the change of frame accord with the general law of media report; The construction of the "past" frame focuses on the regulation of accumulated habits, the construction of the "present" frame deviates from the site of the Shanghai World Expo, and the construction of the "future" framework focuses on showing the problems existing in the Shanghai World Expo. The construction of the "individual" framework is based on the point of view; the construction of the "community" framework is mainly focused on negative reports; the construction of the "regional" framework is focused on the preparation of the framework and the neglect of the influence on the construction of the framework. The construction of "national" frame shows the stereotype of Chinese image by western media, while the international influence of Shanghai World Expo is ignored in the construction of "international" frame. Finally, the author puts forward some thoughts based on his report: carrying out targeted reports on foreign media; carefully planning the media reporting framework; setting up media agenda in different time and space stages; constructing a dynamic and changing space-time framework to maintain the comprehensiveness and freshness of news; Select typical events that reflect the essence of objective things to report, and use objective reporting techniques to express media consciousness.
