[Abstract]:With the rapid development of the global electronics industry in the 1990s, supply chain inventory management has become a powerful weapon for electronic manufacturing enterprises to win competitive advantages in the fierce competition. Suzhou Flextronics Co., Ltd. is a EMS enterprise with high capital structure. At present, there are some problems such as high cost of inventory holding, high ratio of stagnant materials but low timely delivery rate of customers, which leads to a large amount of cash taken up by inventory enterprises, and the overall operating cost is on the high side. Affects the profit-making ability of the enterprise and the improvement of the customer satisfaction level. This paper makes a field investigation on the inventory management of Suzhou Flextronics Co., Ltd., hoping to get some experiences and methods to help the company to improve the inventory status, and to provide reference experience and method for the future inventory management. In this paper, the theory of supply chain management and inventory management under supply chain is introduced firstly, and the commonly used methods of inventory management, such as VMI,JIT and JIM, are introduced in detail. Based on the analysis of the current situation of inventory management in Suzhou Flextronics Company, this paper points out the problems encountered in the process of inventory management, such as the high cost of inventory holding, the high proportion of stagnant materials, but the timely delivery rate of customers is lower than the level of customer satisfaction and so on. And further analyzes the causes of inventory, namely inventory strategy simplification, ignoring the impact of inventory management process on inventory control and the lack of effective information transfer system, and so on. According to the reason of the problem, the inventory management target system is designed, and the inventory optimization scheme is designed from three aspects: the selection of appropriate inventory management mode, the optimization of inventory management process and the construction of supply chain information platform. Finally, three conclusions are drawn: one is to improve the status of supply chain management in the organizational structure; the other is to establish a long-term strategic alliance with suppliers; The third is the support of IT system, and looks forward to the need to learn the new theory of supply chain management and practice for enterprises. Based on the combination of theory and practice, this paper applies the concept of inventory management in supply chain environment to traditional inventory management, and emphasizes the maneuverability of inventory management. This paper puts forward the process optimization scheme and implementation steps for the important control points affecting inventory management, and hopes that it can be used for reference to improve the level of inventory management in domestic EMS enterprises.
