【摘要】：在開放經濟環(huán)境下,知識產權保護強度對外商直接投資的影響越來越大,如何利用外商直接投資一直是發(fā)展中國家經濟發(fā)展的一個重要戰(zhàn)略。本文首先在傳統國際生產折衷理論(OLI)框架下探討知識產權保護對FDI的影響,然后利用實證分析對理論分析進行檢驗。本文利用40個國家2003-2012年的面板數據,選取WEF公布的《全球競爭力報告》報告中知識產權保護的指標作為本文核心解釋變量知識產權保護的實際指標,并且加入了五個控制變量一起進行實證分析,五個控制變量分別為:東道國的市場規(guī)模(GDP)、對外開放水平(OPEN)、勞動力成本(AVS)、基礎設施(TCAR)、以及城市化水平(URB)。實證分析分為兩個層面:首先從整體層面上,不劃分FDI的具體行業(yè),并將樣本分為世界、發(fā)達國家以及發(fā)展中國家三組樣本分別進行回歸,其次從行業(yè)層面上,分別對發(fā)達國家與發(fā)展中國家的十個具體行業(yè)進行回歸分析比較。實證分析結果顯示:在整體層面上,在世界范圍內、發(fā)達國家以及發(fā)展中國家三組樣本內,知識產權保護對于FDI有顯著的正影響;在行業(yè)層面上,具體行業(yè)有著不同的結果:電力、燃氣及水的生產和供應業(yè)、批發(fā)零售業(yè)、金融業(yè)、房地產業(yè)、租賃和商務服務業(yè),對比發(fā)達國家與發(fā)展中國家,知識產權對FDI在1%、5%的不同程度水平下顯著為正,即為在這些行業(yè)內,增強知識產權保護有利于FDI的流入;對于農、林、牧、漁業(yè)這一行業(yè)來說,發(fā)達國家的知識產權對FDI在1%的水平下顯著為負,發(fā)展中國家的知識產權對FDI在1%的水平下顯著為正;對于采礦業(yè)、制造業(yè)、建筑業(yè)、住宿和餐飲業(yè)以及交通運輸倉儲和郵政業(yè)來說,發(fā)達國家與發(fā)展中國家的知識產權對FDI的影響均為正向的影響。最后本文根據實證結果,就發(fā)展中國家如何吸引外商直接投資提出了相應的政策建議。
[Abstract]:In the open economy environment, the intensity of intellectual property protection has more and more influence on foreign direct investment (FDI). How to make use of FDI has always been an important strategy for the economic development of developing countries. This paper first discusses the impact of intellectual property protection on FDI under the framework of traditional international production compromise theory, and then uses empirical analysis to test the theoretical analysis. Based on the panel data of 40 countries from 2003 to 2012, this paper selects the intellectual property protection indicators in the Global Competitiveness report published by WEF as the real indicators for the intellectual property protection of the core explanatory variables in this paper. And five control variables are added to the empirical analysis. The five control variables are as follows: market size of host country, open level, labor cost and AVS, infrastructure, and urbanization level. The empirical analysis is divided into two levels: first of all, from the overall level, do not divide the specific industries of FDI, and divide the samples into the world, developed and developing countries for regression, and then from the industry level. Ten specific industries in developed and developing countries were analyzed by regression analysis. The results of empirical analysis show that intellectual property protection has a significant positive impact on FDI at the global level and in three groups of samples from developed and developing countries; at the industry level, intellectual property protection has a significant positive impact on FDI. Specific industries have different outcomes: electricity, gas and water production and supply, wholesale and retail, finance, real estate, leasing and business services, compared with developed and developing countries, Intellectual property rights are significantly positive for FDI at different levels of 1% or 5%, that is, in these industries, enhanced intellectual property protection is conducive to the inflow of FDI; for agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry, and fisheries, Intellectual property rights in developed countries are significantly negative for FDI at 1%, while those in developing countries are significantly positive at 1% of FDI; for mining, manufacturing, construction, The impact of intellectual property rights on FDI in both developed and developing countries is positive for accommodation and catering as well as transportation, storage and postal services. Finally, according to the empirical results, this paper puts forward corresponding policy recommendations on how to attract FDI in developing countries.
