[Abstract]:With the improvement of living standard and the change of life style, the prevalence rate of diabetes is increasing year by year. At present, it has affected 382 million people all over the world and become the main disease that endangers human health and reduces the quality of life. By 2035, the number of people with diabetes is forecast to soar to 592 million, with 15 to 20 percent of people with diabetes developing foot ulcers in their lifetime. Amputation caused by diabetic foot ulcer has become the primary cause of non-traumatic amputation and an important cause of high mortality. Debridement is a crucial step in the treatment of diabetic foot, and faster wound healing can be accelerated by removing necrotic tissue. Biological maggots therapy has been used in debridement of wounds hundreds of years ago. It has the function of anti-infection and promoting wound growth in the process of debridement.
