【摘要】：近來,在歐美現(xiàn)代主義研究的跨國轉(zhuǎn)向中,越來越多的學者著眼于現(xiàn)代主義文本與美學價值在跨國體系中的產(chǎn)生、流通、翻譯和接受,并常借用世界主義理論來闡釋文本。在這一研究范式中,現(xiàn)代作家E.M.福斯特往往處于一種被邊緣化的地位。通過分析二十世紀初"世界主義"的特有形態(tài)在《霍華茲莊園》的呈現(xiàn),本文嘗試揭示該小說如何展現(xiàn)了世界主義所必需的社會和精神根基,并以此探討福斯特的自由世界主義人文理念與阿諾德、密爾及"新自由主義"思想的關(guān)聯(lián)與異同。
[Abstract]:Recently, more and more scholars have focused on the emergence, circulation, translation and acceptance of Modernist Texts and aesthetic values in the transnational system of modernist studies in Europe and America, and often use cosmopolitanism to explain the text. In this research paradigm, the present writer, E.M. Forster, is often in a marginalized place. By analyzing the appearance of the unique form of cosmopolitanism in the early twentieth Century, this article tries to reveal how the novel shows the necessary social and spiritual foundations of cosmopolitanism, and discusses the similarities and differences between Forster's liberal cosmopolitan humanistic ideas and Arnold, mil and Neo liberalism.
