從上個世紀八十年代末起,很多語言學家開始了對完句成分的研究,如王艾錄(1990)、賀陽(1994)、黃南松(1994)、孔令達(1995)、竟成(1996)、Tang & Lee(2000)、胡建華&石定栩(2005)等等。這些語言學家從各個不同的角度對完句條件進行了比較深入的探討,如體態(tài),時制定位,指稱意義,語調等等。然而,前人的研究多注重對完句范疇的描寫及分類,而對其為什么能夠完句以及對這些完句成分的共同特征的解釋還有待深入。至今未能從語言的本質方面對完句條件形成一個統(tǒng)一的解釋。另外,很少有人關注句子的名詞性成分即主語、賓語的限制對完句的影響。 本文從認知語法中背景設置(grounding)的角度,試圖對完句條件作一個較為全面的分析和解釋。根據(jù)蘭蓋克(Langacker),每個言語事件都涉及背景設置,背景設置使言語行為的參與者能夠建立起與話語所表示的事件或過程的心理聯(lián)系。單個的名詞或是動詞詞干只能指一個類(type),而名詞詞組或限定分句才能指類中的一個例示(instance)。名詞短語和句子都必須通過背景設置使類轉化為例才能建立起例示和言語行為者之間的聯(lián)系。名詞通...
