概念整合理論對委婉語的解讀

起源于希臘的委婉語,作為一種普遍存在的語言學(xué)現(xiàn)象,在人們的日常生活中扮演了不可缺少的角色,并已成為人們交流中重要的語言潤滑劑,其調(diào)節(jié)社會關(guān)系和人際關(guān)系的重要性毋庸置疑。國內(nèi)外為數(shù)眾多的語言學(xué)家和學(xué)者分別從各種不同角度對委婉語這一語言現(xiàn)象進(jìn)行了大量的研究,主要集中在修辭學(xué),傳統(tǒng)語義學(xué),語用學(xué)和社會語言學(xué)等領(lǐng)域,并取得了不少成績;然而,卻很少有涉及到其生成動機(jī)以及意義建構(gòu)的研究,認(rèn)知語言學(xué)認(rèn)為,所有的語言包括委婉語都是對認(rèn)知,概念和思維的闡述而不是單純的語言表達(dá)。本文試圖對委婉語的意義生成和理解機(jī)制進(jìn)行進(jìn)一步分析和探究,以彌補(bǔ)認(rèn)知語言學(xué)對委婉語研究的不足。 始創(chuàng)于20世紀(jì)90年代后期概念整合理論,作為西方語言學(xué)的一個新流派,其強(qiáng)大的認(rèn)知闡述力在近幾年來倍受全球語言學(xué)家們的廣泛關(guān)注。該理論探討了語言構(gòu)建過程中產(chǎn)生的心智空間、認(rèn)知模式和機(jī)制。概念整合理論在輸入空間、闡釋類屬空間、整合空間的基礎(chǔ)上形成。經(jīng)過三個基本過程:構(gòu)建過程、完善過程和擴(kuò)展過程,以及相關(guān)背景知識,完成概念的意義建構(gòu)。概念整合理論具有強(qiáng)大的解釋力,用于解釋語言建構(gòu)的許多方面。從詞語語義到句子中詞語的復(fù)合,概念整合理論被廣泛用于...
