從印象管理角度研究公眾人物道歉話語

  道歉是人們生活中不可避免地會使用到的一種為不適當(dāng)或有危害的言行承認(rèn)錯誤,同時表示歉意的的常見言語行為。前人對這一現(xiàn)象的研究也不乏少數(shù),但最初只停留于對這一言語行為理論層面的研究,進(jìn)而逐步轉(zhuǎn)為實(shí)證性研究。其涉及領(lǐng)域相對較廣,但卻似乎始終在圍繞日常話語道歉所涉及到的的各因素如社會距離、社會權(quán)勢、冒犯程度、性別、文化等變量因素加以分析驗(yàn)證。本研究旨在突破前人對道歉話語的研究對象和手段范疇,即區(qū)別于日常話語道歉,轉(zhuǎn)而以公眾人物為研究對象,透過他們的道歉話語來剖析作為身份特殊的人物在表達(dá)歉意時所蘊(yùn)含的背后動機(jī)和特有的語言操作策略。特別是通過分析如何最低限度地降低和推卸責(zé)任的具體實(shí)施手段,以達(dá)到保全或挽回自身面子和維護(hù)自身公眾形象的目的,證明這一言語行為所體現(xiàn)的自我印象管理模式。本文以Leary和Kowalski(1990)提出的印象管理兩成分或兩過程管理模式為理論框架。由于本文是鑒于以語用學(xué)路向分析研究對象的話語現(xiàn)象,因此不涉及到對印象管理模式的測量或相關(guān)因素驗(yàn)證。具體而言,印象動機(jī)就是要研究哪些印象動機(jī)因素會驅(qū)使公眾人物去道歉;印象建構(gòu)是要研究通過哪些話語策略使得道歉方去修補(bǔ)或保持先前給予受歉...
