英漢新聞標(biāo)題中的隱喻對比分析

二十世紀(jì)七十年代,隱喻在世界范圍內(nèi)成為一個熱門話題。自從九十年代以來,隱喻成為認(rèn)知語言學(xué)的重點研究課題之一。在過去的幾十年中,哲學(xué)家、心理學(xué)家、語言學(xué)家開始承認(rèn)隱喻是語言和思維不可缺少的基礎(chǔ),認(rèn)為隱喻是語言的普遍現(xiàn)象,隱喻性是語言的自身特性。隱喻曾被看作是一種修辭方法和語言裝飾,甚至是語言正常用法的偏離。與之相反的是,以Lakoff和Johnson為代表的認(rèn)知語言學(xué)家認(rèn)為,隱喻不但是一種通過語言表達(dá)思想的方式,而且是一種思維方式。Lakoff和Johnson提出了概念隱喻這一概念,并對英語中的許多概念隱喻加以研究,譬如,"ARGUMENT IS WAR"等。許多外國學(xué)者從認(rèn)知角度對概念隱喻做了大量的研究。在過去的幾年里,由中國學(xué)者從認(rèn)知角度研究概念隱喻的文章出現(xiàn)在各種雜志和期刊中。然而對英漢概念隱喻的對比研究仍不多見,大部分研究也僅局限于對外國理論的引進(jìn)以及獨立的研究。當(dāng)讀者打開一張報紙時,首先映入眼簾的是新聞標(biāo)題。讀者會根據(jù)自己的目的和興趣,選擇幾篇報導(dǎo)來閱讀。因此,標(biāo)題對于一則新聞的成敗起著尤為重要的作用。為了使標(biāo)題語言更加豐富、生動,并激發(fā)讀者閱讀的欲望,新聞標(biāo)題制作者往往將大量...
