研究特定語言中人們?nèi)绾畏Q呼對方是研究人際交流的一個重要課題。人們通常以稱呼語發(fā)起談話,以此確立人與人之間的社會關(guān)系。稱呼語在此過程中具有十分重要的作用,是言語事件中用以指稱受話人的稱謂,是社會信息的重要載體（Parkinson,1985）。得體而有效的稱呼語能拉近人與人之間的關(guān)系,創(chuàng)造和諧的交際氛圍,從而順利達到交際目的。國內(nèi)外學(xué)者對稱呼語的研究大多從社會語言學(xué)的角度入手,著重分析社會因素對稱呼語選擇的影響,其中最有影響的一部力作是Brown & Gilman的the Pronouns of Power and Solidarity.此后的學(xué)者大多是在此理論基礎(chǔ)上分析闡釋稱呼語的使用,而忽視了語言交流中心理因素,物理環(huán)境對語言選擇的制約作用。維索爾倫的順應(yīng)論為語言現(xiàn)象的語用學(xué)研究提供了全新的理論框架。維索爾倫指出,人們使用語言的過程實際上是一個選擇語言的過程,但這種選擇多要受到交際者的主觀意識,語言內(nèi)部因素和語言外部因素的制約,但有時候也是一種自動的,無意識的行為。他認為語言使用是一種行為（behavior:行為B）。與“act”（行為A）不同,"behavior"更具有社會學(xué)...
