【摘要】：公共外交一直是國(guó)際關(guān)系討論的熱點(diǎn),并日趨受到重視。它常通過(guò)體育及各種藝術(shù)形式來(lái)實(shí)現(xiàn),包括超越國(guó)界、溝通心靈的交流工具——音樂。然而當(dāng)今外交政策研究側(cè)重于國(guó)與國(guó)之間官方主導(dǎo)的經(jīng)濟(jì)、政治交流,而較少關(guān)注文化和人性研究,對(duì)音樂在公共外交中的作用研究較少。本文通過(guò)深入研究冷戰(zhàn)時(shí)期美國(guó)的爵士樂,總結(jié)出音樂在公共外交中擔(dān)當(dāng)?shù)恼蜗蠕h、觀念大使和文化橋梁三種角色,挖掘出爵士樂之所以能夠被美國(guó)選中在冷戰(zhàn)時(shí)期發(fā)揮重任的原因。此外,通過(guò)對(duì)爵士樂在某些特定地區(qū)對(duì)于美國(guó)公共外交作用的評(píng)估,本文發(fā)現(xiàn),爵士樂的推廣加快了東方陣營(yíng)的瓦解,增進(jìn)了具有重要戰(zhàn)略意義的中東和非洲的一些國(guó)家和地區(qū)對(duì)美國(guó)的支持,從而在一定程度上了促進(jìn)了冷戰(zhàn)的終結(jié)。最后,為使研究更為客觀和科學(xué),本文還指出了音樂對(duì)于促進(jìn)公共外交的局限性,并展望未來(lái)研究方向,對(duì)中國(guó)更好地發(fā)揮音樂在公共外交中的作用提出了建設(shè)性建議。希望本文借以跨學(xué)科領(lǐng)域的研究,為公共外交的探索提供一個(gè)全新的視角。
[Abstract]:Public diplomacy has always been a hot topic in international relations, and has been paid more and more attention. It is often achieved through sports and various forms of art, including music, a communication tool that transcends national boundaries and communicates the mind. However, today's foreign policy studies focus on the state-led economic and political exchanges, and less on culture and human nature, and less on the role of music in public diplomacy. Based on the in-depth study of American jazz during the Cold War, this paper concludes that music plays three roles in public diplomacy: political vanguard, concept ambassador and cultural bridge. Discover why jazz was chosen by the United States to play its role during the cold war. In addition, by assessing the role of jazz in the public diplomacy of the United States in certain specific regions, this paper finds that the spread of jazz has accelerated the collapse of the Eastern camp. Increased support for the United States by some countries and regions in the Middle East and Africa, which is of strategic importance, contributed to the end of the cold war to a certain extent. Finally, in order to make the study more objective and scientific, this paper also points out the limitations of music in promoting public diplomacy, looks forward to the future research direction, and puts forward constructive suggestions for China to play the role of music in public diplomacy. It is hoped that this paper will provide a new perspective for the exploration of public diplomacy.
