【摘要】:英國著名的音樂人類學家馬丁 ·斯托克斯的《族群性、身份認同與音樂——音樂的地域構筑》是一部極具學科意義的著作。在當下,身份認同和族群性在音樂人類學學科中成為了重要的概念——持有"音樂可以作為一種政治工具"這一觀點的學者不在少數;同時,沒有音樂人類學者能夠否認這些處于各種文化中的音樂正在迅速變化著。音樂傳統的持有者被迫加入這種文化互動中,因而打破了固有的分類,如"民間音樂"、"藝術音樂"、"流行音樂"、"古典音樂"等等。傳統的持有者同時也會竭力維護固有的傳統,作為代表他們是誰的身份象征。音樂不僅僅是為建構社會空間提供標識,更是提供了這個空間被改變的方式。本書中馬丁·斯托克斯集合了九個不同的個案研究,其關注點各有不同,包括流行音樂、民間音樂、儀式音樂和古典音樂,從波蘭的肖邦到一個巴西小說里的人物,從愛爾蘭到澳大利亞,綜合運用了人類學和音樂學的方法,是一種建構人類學和音樂學兩種學科間橋梁的嘗試。撰稿者們提供的學術文章的多樣性代表了該文集學術研究的完整性,對我們更深的學術探究有巨大的裨益。書評主要從全書的導論總述、主題詞釋義、分章綜述、理論背景和研究方法(9位作者)以及對國內音樂人類學界的借鑒和反思五個方面對著作進行剖析和解讀,并對作者其人及其思想理論、國內研究現狀、引入本書的意義以及翻譯心得進行簡要介紹和說明。
[Abstract]:Martin Stokes, a famous English music anthropologist, is a work of great academic significance. At the moment, identity and ethnicity have become important concepts in the discipline of musical anthropology-many scholars hold the view that music can be used as a political tool; at the same time, No music anthropologist can deny that the music in various cultures is changing rapidly. The holders of musical traditions are forced to participate in this cultural interaction, thus breaking down the inherent classifications, such as "folk music", "artistic music", "pop music", "classical music" and so on. The holders of tradition also strive to preserve the inherent tradition as a symbol of who they are. Music not only provides the logo for the construction of social space, but also provides a way for the space to be changed. In this book, Martin Stokes brings together nine different case studies focusing on a variety of topics, including pop, folk, ritual and classical music, from Chopin in Poland to a character in a Brazilian novel. From Ireland to Australia, the comprehensive use of anthropology and musicology is an attempt to build a bridge between anthropology and musicology. The diversity of academic articles provided by the authors represents the integrity of the academic research of the collection, which is of great benefit to our deeper academic inquiry. The book review mainly analyzes and interprets the works from five aspects: the introduction to the book, the interpretation of the theme words, the summary of chapters, the theoretical background and research methods (9 authors) and the reference and reflection of the domestic music anthropology. The author and his thoughts and theories, the present situation of domestic research, the significance of the introduction of this book and the translation experience are briefly introduced and explained.
