【摘要】：本論文針對《中國叢報》中所刊載的中國古典小說進行研究,《中國叢報》中收錄的中國古典小說的譯介文章題材主要集中于歷史演義故事、才子佳人小說以及神魔志怪小說這幾方面。筆者選取了其中具有代表性的經(jīng)典中國古典小說作品《子不語》《聊齋志異》《紅樓夢》《大明正德皇游江南傳》《三國演義》等相關(guān)譯介的文章進行個案分析,通過分析這些古典小說在中國的譯介情況以及19世紀西人尤其是來華傳教士對中國古典小說的英語譯介活動來考察西人的具體翻譯實踐。筆者將與《中國叢報》同時期的西人英文報刊《亞洲雜志》《皇家亞洲文會北中華支會會報》《鳳凰雜志》《遠東雜志》《中國評論》以及《教務(wù)雜志》等納入考察范圍,橫向比較不同西人英文期刊所刊登譯作的特點。西人經(jīng)營的刊物在選擇譯介的中國古典小說時有共通性也有差異性,本文通過分析不同期刊與《中國叢報》之間選譯文章側(cè)重點的不同來展開關(guān)于西人對于中國古典小說看法的論述。中國古典小說向西方世界傳播具有長期的歷史積淀,本文通過將《中國叢報》放置在整個中國古典小說西傳的發(fā)展脈絡(luò)中進行考察,挖掘《中國叢報》在其中做出的貢獻以及局限,最終給《中國叢報》以合適的定位。本論文第一章對現(xiàn)有的研究查漏補缺,并對西人所譯介的中國古典小說篇章進行具體的文本分析。論文第二章對比與《中國叢報》同時期的西人英語期刊中所刊載的譯介中國古典小說的文章,分析西人選譯中國古典小說的原因與側(cè)重點,由此分析西人興趣點的異同。最后,論文的第三章將《中國叢報》與“中國古典小說西傳”的發(fā)展歷史相結(jié)合,就《中國叢報》在整個歷史中所起到的作用與不足進行論述,從而給《中國叢報》以合適的定位。
[Abstract]:This thesis focuses on the Chinese classical novels published in China Cuclux newspaper. The translation and introduction articles of Chinese classical novels collected in China Cuckoo newspaper mainly focus on historical stories. The writer chooses the classic classical Chinese novel, "Zi silent", "Liaozhai Zhi Yi", "A Dream of Red Mansions", "A Dream of Red Mansions", "A Journey to the South of the Yangtze River by the Emperor of Daming Zhengde", "Romance of three Kingdoms". A case study of related articles, By analyzing the translation and introduction of these classical novels in China and the English translation activities of the westerners, especially the missionaries who came to China in the 19th century, to investigate the specific translation practices of the westerners. In the same period, the Western English newspaper, "Asian magazines", "the North China Branch of the Royal Asian Literary Society", "Phoenix Magazine", "far East Magazine", "China Review", and "Educational Administration Magazine" were included in the scope of the inspection. A horizontal comparison of the features of the translated works published in English journals of different Westerners shows that there are similarities and differences in the choice of translation and introduction of Chinese classical novels in the journals run by the westerners. By analyzing the differences between the different journals and the selected chapters of the Chinese newspaper, this paper discusses the views of the Western people on the Chinese classical novels, which have a long history of spreading to the western world. This paper explores the contribution and limitation of China Cuckoo newspaper by placing it in the development context of the westward biography of the whole Chinese classical novel. In the first chapter of this paper, we will find out the gaps in the existing research. The second chapter compares the translation of Chinese classical novels published in the same period of the Western English Journal with the articles published in the English periodicals of the same period, and introduces the Chinese classical novels in the English journals of the same period, the second chapter contrasts with the translation of Chinese classical novels published in the English periodicals of the same period. This paper analyzes the reasons and emphases of the translation of Chinese classical novels by westerners, and analyzes the similarities and differences of the interest points of the westerners. Finally, the third chapter combines the development history of "China Cong newspaper" with "the Western Biography of Chinese Classical novels". In this paper, the function and deficiency of China Cong newspaper in the whole history are discussed, and the suitable position is given.
