【摘要】：本研究基于語(yǔ)料庫(kù),采用對(duì)比分析的方法研究時(shí)態(tài)的使用及功能(交際目的)。摘要分別選自2008-2009年國(guó)內(nèi)外影響因子較高的期刊,涉及物理學(xué)、語(yǔ)言學(xué)和經(jīng)濟(jì)學(xué)三個(gè)學(xué)科,共432篇摘要。作者自建六個(gè)語(yǔ)料庫(kù)并輔以手工標(biāo)注,包括期刊名,摘要編號(hào),時(shí)態(tài),及句子號(hào)碼。其中,216篇摘要選自中國(guó)期刊,216篇摘要選自國(guó)際期刊,每門學(xué)科72篇�？ǚ綑z驗(yàn)國(guó)內(nèi)外時(shí)態(tài)使用是否存在顯著差異,WordSmith 4.0提取索引行。本研究的主要發(fā)現(xiàn)為: 在物理學(xué)科,國(guó)內(nèi)英語(yǔ)學(xué)者比英語(yǔ)本族語(yǔ)者更多使用一般過(guò)去時(shí)。英語(yǔ)本族語(yǔ)者更加有意識(shí)的使用一般過(guò)去時(shí)來(lái)描述和評(píng)價(jià)研究本身。而國(guó)內(nèi)英語(yǔ)學(xué)者更多使用一般過(guò)去時(shí)來(lái)介紹論文本身。完成態(tài)在國(guó)際物理摘要語(yǔ)料庫(kù)中出現(xiàn)頻次更多,而進(jìn)行態(tài)在國(guó)內(nèi)物理摘要語(yǔ)料庫(kù)中出現(xiàn)頻次更多。通過(guò)研究特定的主語(yǔ)與動(dòng)詞各種時(shí)態(tài)形式的搭配,我們發(fā)現(xiàn)英語(yǔ)本族語(yǔ)者以研究本身為導(dǎo)向,更加擅長(zhǎng)講述研究經(jīng)歷。 在語(yǔ)言學(xué)學(xué)科,英語(yǔ)本族語(yǔ)者更多使用一般過(guò)去時(shí),而國(guó)內(nèi)英語(yǔ)學(xué)者更多使用一般現(xiàn)在時(shí)和一般將來(lái)時(shí)。在國(guó)際語(yǔ)言學(xué)摘要語(yǔ)料庫(kù)中,一般過(guò)去時(shí)被更多的用在描述研究方法和呈現(xiàn)研究話題本身,以強(qiáng)化發(fā)生在過(guò)去的實(shí)驗(yàn)過(guò)程,這表明英語(yǔ)本族語(yǔ)者更加在意實(shí)驗(yàn)手法的時(shí)間定位。一般現(xiàn)在時(shí)在國(guó)際語(yǔ)言學(xué)摘要語(yǔ)料庫(kù)中被更多的用來(lái)陳述研究和描述語(yǔ)言事實(shí);而在國(guó)內(nèi)語(yǔ)言學(xué)摘要語(yǔ)料庫(kù)中被更多的用來(lái)總結(jié)研究結(jié)果。 在經(jīng)濟(jì)學(xué)學(xué)科,英語(yǔ)本族語(yǔ)者大體上傾向于使用一般現(xiàn)在時(shí),而國(guó)內(nèi)英語(yǔ)學(xué)者使用時(shí)態(tài)更趨多樣化。后者傾向于在開(kāi)頭用現(xiàn)在完成時(shí)描述研究背景。國(guó)內(nèi)英語(yǔ)學(xué)者比英語(yǔ)本族語(yǔ)者的預(yù)測(cè)性更強(qiáng),大概源于中國(guó)一些經(jīng)濟(jì)現(xiàn)象的可預(yù)測(cè)性,很多中國(guó)學(xué)者對(duì)中國(guó)將來(lái)的經(jīng)濟(jì)發(fā)展持樂(lè)觀態(tài)度。 從三個(gè)學(xué)科總體看,國(guó)內(nèi)英語(yǔ)學(xué)者比英語(yǔ)本族語(yǔ)者更多使用現(xiàn)在完成時(shí)、現(xiàn)在進(jìn)行時(shí)和一般將來(lái)時(shí);而英語(yǔ)本族語(yǔ)者相對(duì)較多使用一般過(guò)去時(shí)和過(guò)去完成時(shí)。國(guó)內(nèi)摘要和國(guó)外摘要中時(shí)態(tài)的分布都呈現(xiàn)如下規(guī)律:現(xiàn)在完成時(shí)多用于摘要的前部,一般現(xiàn)在時(shí)和一般過(guò)去時(shí)多用于摘要的中部,一般將來(lái)時(shí)多用于摘要的后部。國(guó)外摘要中情態(tài)動(dòng)詞can和may被較多的用來(lái)呈現(xiàn)結(jié)果和提供啟示,表明英語(yǔ)本族語(yǔ)者在展示成果時(shí)更加靈活和審慎。分析could, might和would的索引行,我們發(fā)現(xiàn)它們的功能在國(guó)際摘要語(yǔ)料庫(kù)中更趨多樣化也更為復(fù)雜。此外,三個(gè)學(xué)科中經(jīng)濟(jì)學(xué)期刊摘要的時(shí)態(tài)轉(zhuǎn)換最為顯著。 造成時(shí)態(tài)使用差異的原因可歸結(jié)為:研究話題、語(yǔ)言能力和語(yǔ)言遷移、寫(xiě)作策略和文化差異。 本研究旨在為摘要中時(shí)態(tài)的使用提供一些建議。它在分析時(shí)態(tài)的跨文化性和跨學(xué)科性上是鮮明的,可以增強(qiáng)國(guó)內(nèi)英語(yǔ)學(xué)者對(duì)于時(shí)態(tài)在特定學(xué)科的敏感度。本文對(duì)于增強(qiáng)特殊英語(yǔ)教學(xué)和有效地撰寫(xiě)摘要有一定的指導(dǎo)意義。
