【摘要】： 學(xué)術(shù)書評作為學(xué)術(shù)語篇的一種,很多年來通常被當(dāng)作參考文獻(xiàn),其在學(xué)術(shù)界的重要性并沒有得到應(yīng)有的重視。學(xué)術(shù)書評具有獨特而復(fù)雜的人際意義:一方面評者要對所評書籍的結(jié)構(gòu)、內(nèi)容及其學(xué)術(shù)價值進(jìn)行客觀、扼要的概述以及揚優(yōu)汰劣的評價;另一方面,他還要平衡其與書籍作者以及讀者之間的人際關(guān)系,避免潛伏分歧的產(chǎn)生。 評價理論是系統(tǒng)功能語言學(xué)中語言的人際功能在語篇語義層面上的擴(kuò)展和延伸。本文擬以評價理論為理論框架,作者從國外和國內(nèi)的主流語言學(xué)雜志上選取了英漢語言學(xué)學(xué)術(shù)書評各10篇作為語料,將其置于評價系統(tǒng)的三個次系統(tǒng)(態(tài)度、介入和級差)中進(jìn)行對比分析,借此來揭示英漢學(xué)術(shù)書評中評價意義各種語言實現(xiàn)手段的異同,并試圖進(jìn)行合理的原因探索。 本文采用了定量和定性分析相結(jié)合的研究方法,通過分析得出以下結(jié)論:(1)總體來看三個次系統(tǒng)在英漢學(xué)術(shù)書評中的出現(xiàn)頻率不同。在英語書評中,其出現(xiàn)頻率從高到低依次為介入、態(tài)度和級差;而漢語書評中其出現(xiàn)頻率由高到低為態(tài)度、介入和級差。不同的態(tài)度資源在英漢學(xué)術(shù)書評中的出現(xiàn)頻率也有所不同。(2)在介入次系統(tǒng)中,英漢學(xué)術(shù)書評都較多的采用雜語。在書評的引介、概述和評價三個階段中,英漢書評外言和自言的出現(xiàn)頻率都呈規(guī)律性的變化。(3)從級差角度看,英語書評中表達(dá)肯定情感的強(qiáng)勢出現(xiàn)頻率低于漢語書評,而表達(dá)否定情感的強(qiáng)勢出現(xiàn)頻率則高于漢語書評;英漢評者都使用一些手段使正面評價明顯化,負(fù)面評價模糊化,以便于評者更好地協(xié)調(diào)與作者之間的沖突。(4)從書評的結(jié)構(gòu)來看,英文書評的引介階段通常作為獨立一章出現(xiàn),且英語評者肯定意義的表達(dá)通常只出現(xiàn)在評價階段。而漢語書評中的肯定評價會在引介階段和評價階段重復(fù)出現(xiàn)。此外英文評者評價的側(cè)重點通常是所評書籍的使用價值,而漢語評者則重視書籍的理論貢獻(xiàn)。 總之,對中英學(xué)術(shù)書評評價意義的對比分析,一方面證明了評價理論是解讀語篇中作者態(tài)度和立場的有力工具;另一方面分析得出的結(jié)論也有助于指導(dǎo)學(xué)生對英漢學(xué)術(shù)書評的閱讀與寫作,進(jìn)一步豐富了評價理論的應(yīng)用。
