【摘要】： 隨著國際學術交流水平的提高，科技文獻的國際發(fā)表與收錄狀況成為衡量其科研水平的重要參考。英文摘要是國際信息檢索系統(tǒng)收錄科技文獻的主要依據(jù)。由于受非母語寫作水平的限制，缺乏對英文摘要文體特點的了解和有針對性的寫作指導，許多中國科研工作者的英文摘要不符合國際規(guī)范，，在一定程度上限制了國際學術認同與交流的機會。 為了深入了解國內外英文摘要寫作水平的差異，發(fā)現(xiàn)中國作者英文摘要中存在的問題，探索切實可行的寫作指導原則，本文借鑒美國工程索引Engineering Information(Ei)對工程類論文英文摘要寫作的指導要求，以文體學及功能語法的相關理論原則為依據(jù)，對國內外不同層次的英文摘要進行了微觀文體特征及宏觀信息結構方面的數(shù)據(jù)收集及對比分析。作者采用隨機抽樣法，分別從美國著名工程類期刊、被Ei收錄的國內工程類核心期刊、未被Ei收錄的國內工程類核心期刊三個樣本庫中，各抽取2006年發(fā)表的論文摘要三十篇，從明確性，簡潔性及信息性三個角度，比較三類英文摘要在時態(tài)、語態(tài)、人稱、長度、句式復雜性及銜接手段、名詞短語構成和主位推進模式方面的主要異同。 研究獲得以下幾點發(fā)現(xiàn)：1)中外摘要在語言特征層面存在不同程度的差異，其中科技語匯的構成及句式結構較為相似，但在摘要長度、動詞時態(tài)、語態(tài)與人稱方面有較明顯的差異；2)在宏觀信息結構層面，英語作者的文摘內容更為完善，信息布局更為清晰明確；3)中國一般水平英語作者與英語作者摘要之間差異較大，而已被Ei收錄的中國期刊摘要則既呈現(xiàn)出中國作者文體特征的共性，又更加接近國際規(guī)范水準。 在此基礎上，本文分析了國內論文英語摘要在文體風格及語言表達方面的主要問題，并對工程論文的摘要寫作提出了具體建議，以期促進國內科研工作者英文摘要寫作能力的進步，從而提高國內工程類論文在國際上的發(fā)表率和索引率。
