Archive:互聯(lián)網(wǎng)網(wǎng)站歷史檔案館一個(gè)非營(yíng)利網(wǎng)站，致力于為互聯(lián)網(wǎng)上曾經(jīng)存在過的網(wǎng)站建立數(shù)字圖書館。與線下實(shí)體圖書館一樣的經(jīng)營(yíng)模式，面對(duì)研究者、歷史學(xué)家、學(xué)者以及公眾免費(fèi)開放。

這是一個(gè)讓人感到時(shí)光飛逝物是人非的網(wǎng)站。記錄了很多曾經(jīng)輝煌一時(shí)現(xiàn)在早已消失或者已經(jīng)走向沒落的網(wǎng)站，也記錄了存活至今的網(wǎng)站們一次又一次改版。

網(wǎng)站首頁(yè)主板塊首行正中放置著網(wǎng)頁(yè)搜索框，上面印著“時(shí)光機(jī)（Way Back Machine）”字樣，輸入網(wǎng)址，，點(diǎn)擊“帶我回到過去”，用戶便可以看到歷史中的那個(gè)網(wǎng)頁(yè)的模樣。

2012 年十月份時(shí)，互聯(lián)網(wǎng)檔案館館藏資料的體積約為 10 千萬(wàn)億字節(jié)。當(dāng)時(shí)這個(gè)非營(yíng)利的數(shù)字圖書館正在籌集資金，希望能在年底前購(gòu)買 4 千萬(wàn)億字節(jié)的存儲(chǔ)設(shè)備�；ヂ�(lián)網(wǎng)檔案館的館藏資料以每月 190 T 字節(jié)的速度增加。也就是說，每 5.4 個(gè)月，檔案館便需要新增 1 千萬(wàn)億字節(jié)的存儲(chǔ)設(shè)備。

The Internet Archive is a 501 non-profit that was founded to build an Internet library. Its purposes include offering permanent access for researchers, historians, scholars, people with disabilities, and the general public to historical collections that exist in digital format. Founded in 1996 and located in San Francisco, the Archive has been receiving data donations from Alexa Internet and others.

In late 1999, the organization started to grow to include more well-rounded collections. Now the Internet Archive includes texts, audio, moving images, and software as well as archived web pages in our collections, and provides specialized services for adaptive reading and information access for the blind and other persons with disabilities.
