Abstract: There are lots of issues in College English teaching in vocational colleges, for instance, teaching staff shortage in these schools, the students are lacking of learning enthusiasm and motivation, practicality and professionalism of College English is not very prominent due to insufficient teaching hours. Facing with these issues, how to precede effective teaching reform is a valuable subject to study. I have concluded four aspects after analysis. Firstly, enlarge the teachers’ team, in order to improve the teachers’ quality. Secondly, categorize the students by their grades, teach them according to their English level. Thirdly, adjust the size of the classes scientifically, use effective multi-media teaching, create a decent English learning atmosphere, extend the extra-curriculum activities, improve the effectiveness in College English teaching. Fourthly, use different teaching methods and change assessment method to strengthen practicality and professionalism in College English.

隨著我國(guó)經(jīng)濟(jì)的發(fā)展以及對(duì)人才急劇需求，我國(guó)高職院校獲得日益蓬勃的發(fā)展。但是，當(dāng)前高職院校大學(xué)英語(yǔ)教學(xué)存在不少問(wèn)題。這些問(wèn)題包括哪些方面呢？面對(duì)這些問(wèn)題，高職院校大學(xué)英語(yǔ)教學(xué)應(yīng)該如何進(jìn)行有效的改革，值得每一位高職院校大學(xué)英語(yǔ)教師深入思考。

一、當(dāng)前高職院校大學(xué)英語(yǔ)教學(xué)的存在問(wèn)題
1、高職院校的師資力量的短缺和不足
2、高職院校學(xué)生的學(xué)習(xí)基礎(chǔ)和積極性有所欠缺
3、高職院校的大學(xué)英語(yǔ)課時(shí)量不夠充足
二、高職院校大學(xué)英語(yǔ)教學(xué)改革的方法與對(duì)策
1、擴(kuò)充師資力量，，加強(qiáng)培訓(xùn)，提高教師素質(zhì)
2、循序漸進(jìn)地提高高職院校學(xué)生的英語(yǔ)基礎(chǔ)水平
3、提高高職院校大學(xué)英語(yǔ)教學(xué)的有效性
