[Abstract]:Xinhua News Agency, February 16, beginning in 1992, China will try out a new system of national accounts. Why try out a new system of national accounts? What is its main content? This is a matter of great concern to the readers. Here are some brief descriptions of these issues. First, the trial of the new national economic accounting system is to meet the needs of the new economic operation mechanism of the combination of planned economy and market regulation. The national economic accounting is a comprehensive and systematic accounting which takes the whole process of social reproduction as the object. The system of national economic accounting is a macroeconomic information system which calculates and describes the operation of the whole national economy. The national economic accounting system adopted by our country since the founding of the people's Republic of China basically belongs to the material Product balance Table system (MPS). It is associated with a highly centralized planning management system.
