It primarily aimed at assess the selected personnel and communicate with others, holding an archery competition which actually the main body of the whole ceremony, by the way of ceremony, music, and shooting combined together.This paper, mainly according to “Three-li” information, focuses on the attribute, classification, process, apparatus officials and some other related issues of archery ceremony in Western Zhou; Being on this basis, with full use of the handed-down literature, unearthed literature and relics, archeology and ethnology information, this paper is also to further explore its origin at the Shang ago as well as Confucianism at the Spring and Autumn Period. We hope that this paper could fill the blank in the study on pre-Qin archery ceremony and deepen the discussion of some related problemsKe
