【摘要】：在近代,廣西是西方教會(huì)在華開展活動(dòng)的一個(gè)重要區(qū)域,教會(huì)與民眾之間沖突激烈、教案頻發(fā)成為近代廣西社會(huì)的一大特點(diǎn)。引發(fā)沖突和教案的原因很多,包括中外戰(zhàn)事帶來(lái)反教的連鎖反應(yīng)、傳教士購(gòu)置土地引發(fā)地產(chǎn)爭(zhēng)端、劫匪引發(fā)事端、傳教士對(duì)民間習(xí)俗的忽視以及紳民維護(hù)傳統(tǒng)禮俗引發(fā)沖突,等等。了解近代廣西民教沖突和教案發(fā)生的原因,有助于加深廣西地方史的研究。
