The Fruition of the Removal Ideology in the United States’ I

本文主要以美國建國初期到十九世紀三十年代印第安政策作為背景,針對美國南方諸州在這些政策演變中角色及其作用,特別是遷移危機前后這些州與南方切羅基部落多個司法訴訟及案例中所處的角色來分析,從而說明這一過程在美國歷史上處理印第安問題參考依據(jù)的演變和影響——也就是白人對印遷移思想體系的形成和勝利,得出印第安人苦難的根源。有異于傳統(tǒng)史學觀點的研究側重點,本文從美國的地方政府,南方諸州權力機構、司法機構與印第安人之間的關系的變化和發(fā)展來闡述這一相互關系對聯(lián)邦政府、最高法院制定決策的作用和影響,從而說明白人遷移政策思想體系的流行和勝利。
