雅克·巴爾贊（Jacques Barzun）是美國著名的文化歷史學(xué)家,在文化史的著述方面有突出貢獻(xiàn)�！稄睦杳鞯剿ヂ洹鞣轿幕�500年:1500年至今》（以下簡稱《從黎明到衰落》）是巴爾贊27歲醞釀構(gòu)思,83歲動筆,直至93歲出版的一部巨著,一經(jīng)面世頗受好評,榮獲美國國家圖書獎,被評論界譽為“20世紀(jì)的文化圣經(jīng)”,更是其文化歷史觀的集中體現(xiàn)。評價系統(tǒng)是對人際意義的新發(fā)展,該系統(tǒng)主要研究語言使用者如何借助語言表達(dá)對他人及事物的態(tài)度、看法并作出評價。評價系統(tǒng)包括三個子系統(tǒng):態(tài)度系統(tǒng)、介入系統(tǒng)和級差系統(tǒng)。評價理論一直被廣泛應(yīng)用于各種類型的語篇分析,如廣告、新聞、政治演講等,然而該理論應(yīng)用于歷史文化類語篇的,僅發(fā)現(xiàn)一篇。雖然《從黎明到衰落》是關(guān)于文化歷史的研究,相對其他文體客觀性更強,但它仍然適合用評價理論來分析,因為作者不是簡單地提供事實,而是運用各種評價資源為自己發(fā)聲,并做出判斷和評價。本論文以評價系統(tǒng)為理論框架,對巴爾贊的《從黎明到衰落》的評價資源進行分析。本論文按分層隨機抽樣,從《從黎明到衰落》四部分中各抽取兩章節(jié)作為語料,共225頁,占比28%。運用標(biāo)注與檢索工具BFSU Qua...
