十九世紀(jì)四十年代至二十世紀(jì)二十年代舊金山唐人街的堂及其有組織犯罪

本文研究的是十八世紀(jì)四十年代到十九世紀(jì)二十年代舊金山唐人街的“堂”和有組織犯罪。文章嘗試從回顧這個(gè)時(shí)期舊金山特定歷史環(huán)境和研究在美國落地根的中國文化的角度出發(fā),解讀“堂”及其有組織犯罪在歷史上長期存在并發(fā)展的原因。 本文共分為六部分。第一部分為引言,重在闡述有組織犯罪的定義以及在全世界范圍內(nèi)和美國唐人街的概況。本章從界定名詞概念入手,簡要介紹了一些著名的有組織犯罪集團(tuán)。并著重介紹了“堂”在海外的唐人街的非法活動(dòng)的概況。 第一章闡述的是“堂”的作用,以及唐人街社會(huì)秩序的構(gòu)成及管理。“堂”在最初是一些以互助為目的而成立的宗親會(huì)和同鄉(xiāng)會(huì)。其主旨是為了廣大中國同胞提供入境,安頓和工作生活等方面的幫助。和許多其他的唐人街一樣,舊金山唐人街的社會(huì)秩序由兩部分制約。一部分是合法的秩序,掌控著日常的政治,經(jīng)濟(jì)和其他社會(huì)行為;另一部分是不合法的秩序,管轄著街區(qū)的控制權(quán)以及街區(qū)內(nèi)不法活動(dòng)的經(jīng)營權(quán)。而這兩部分分別由不同的組織進(jìn)行管轄,這其中也有一部分權(quán)限的交叉。 第二章講述的是舊金山唐人街“堂”的發(fā)展以及他們的犯罪形式。本章討論的是“堂”的勢(shì)力在前后八十年中壯大的軌跡,以及其有組織犯罪是如...
